I think whatever medical condition, back pain, surgery, god knows, he gave so many reasons. I think all those things are gone now he will be returning full time.

Im not sure how you guys can even call this the best shonen any more. It is quite evident that Togashi has either lost interest or just isn't well enough to continue at a consistent pace. Also i know he's never been an amazing artist in the first place (But I do miss his detailed backgrounds) but this chapter was and the last previous chapters were at a new low in terms of quality. Just like berserk, i fear both of these mangaka's kind of lost their motivation to draw anything exciting and the quality seems to just be getting worse the more I see. Also berserk just seems to be following a neverending circle and I fear that the author has no idea where to go with the plot.

Meanwhile Hoshino is just killing it with D gray man.

ok, just drop the series.

OMG, Hunter x Hunter manga is back from hiatus after just a little under a year since the last chapter, and I had no idea until an hour ago.

Interesting new ability Kurapika has there, even if it is just another ability of stealing other Nen users' abilities.  So during his Nen training in the past, Kurapika was told by Izunabi to not to create an ability until later. Good thinking.

Unfortunate how it's gone from 11 bodyguards to just 2. Wonder if Bill will survive.

Oh man, it's great to see this manga come back again already, even if it is just for 10 chapters.

Lets enjoy this return while we still can. I'm calling 9-10 chapters before the next hiatus.

Kurapika does seem kind of OP right now, being able to temporarily use the Nen ability of someone else. Then again, that might be for the best, seeing as how the bodyguard count has dwindled to 2, so they could really benefit from some OP abilities.

First Chrollo, then Ging, now Kurapika too can copy abilities? *sigh* Togashi, why you running out of ideas? :(

You forgot Meruem, lol. But yeah, the nen copying ability is a convenient way to not have to invent new techniques. But they are all very distinct in their mode of function and restrictions so I'm not too bothered.

It's just that my expectations for Togashi are probably a bit too high at this point xD

I agree with you that it can get tiring but I've just come to accept that some nen categories are by their construct going to lead to recurrent abilities. Like most manipulators are going to have an ability that let's them manipulate (obviously, in so many different ways, different targets of manipulation, different durations etc) so in a similar way most specialists probably think of borrowing/stealing others' nen abilities since it's so convenient and versatile to do so.

Between, I've just remembered that Leol (the tiger chimera ant) also has a borrowing nen ability (rental pod) so that makes it five nen copying/borrowing/stealing abilities in the series so far.

Togashi comes back and drops a huge bomb: Kurapika's unrevealed technique!!

Just like with Hisoka vs Chrollo last year, I wasn't expecting it this soon.

It may seem kinda OP at first but the conditions balance it out, especially the one-time use. If anything, it seems more similar to Leol's hatsu rather than Chrollo's. And it makes sense for a loner like him to have some variation and extra versatility whenever he works with other people. It may seem like a retcon but I don't think he could've used it in York Shin effectively if he had already developed it at the time... I don't think there was anyone whose ability would've come in handy given the requirements (Hisoka wouldn't have talked about his hatsu, much less if he wanted to fight Chrollo). Still, I think that, if Kurapika really wanted to fight on his own, his judgement chain should control people rather than threaten to kill them (that doesn't sound very honorable for a protagonist though, and of course, OP in the long run). He could've caught all the spiders with such an ability, even if he would use it just to interrogate them.

I wonder if he can only borrow the skill once per person (like a Geass) or as many times as he can inject them with the needle (provided they have aura)... It seems like the latter one.

This series is a chore to read, at this moment this series is mediocre at best. I'm just not invested in it as well.

Way too many dialogue as well.
