It seems there are some misunderstandings.

First, it wasn't a vow like Gon's.

It wasn't granted to him; Hisoka did die, but died with a great wish to live. So on the brink of death he prays to his bungee gum to become stronger through death and massage his heart and lungs. He just had that strong wish and gave that command to his nen. But that was just a huge bet if his wish weren't great enough, or he wasn't in a condition to get revived through heart massage he would still be dead.

It's totally conforming with the way nen stronger through death works in the series, that's why he didn't got any drawbacks. He was just smart to use his own nen to revive himself.

Second, he didn't get healed.

He just put a "makeup" to his injuries with his Bungee Gum and Texture Surprise like he always did in the manga. He really never "recreated" a limb before, but remember that his nen got stronger so he has better control of his Bungee Gum now.

That makes it even dumber, fuck nen vows my Bungee Gum can make me stronger without me having any drawbacks..... Really?

Not Bungee Gum but death made his nen stronger because of his wish. It so happens that Bungee Gum can contract and expand so it can work to revive somebody through heart massage.

The Chimera Ants had ridiculously powerful Nen without any vows. Hisoka's Nen got stronger after dying. Or do you expect a drawback from Nen from a dead person who is now undead?

Chimera ants are completely different case tho, their whole biology is different then human ones and even with those extremely powerful nen aura they could still be killed and you know.....actually stay dead...... Pitou is probably something like 5 times if not even more stronger than Hisoka and the best she could do is after dying to make the puppet move her corpse, but here we have Hisoka doing gods work.

Pitou's wish was to kill Gon that's why he activated Terpsichora after death.

He could have activated Doctor Blythe and get revived (or actually not because he got his head exploded, so he would just become a puppet) but obviously Gon wouldn't wait for that.

All this "massaging back to life" is all good and all but how is everybody ignoring the time frame in which that was done. Bungee Gum clearly didn't keep massaging it only started it after they moved him to a hotel room which lets be real probably takes time..... and it wasn't only a heart massage but even a lung massage?

I wanna be civil about this, I´ve started reading HxH recently I´m not caught up, but I read the chapters alongside the other Jump releases on Thursday.

No offense to the dedicated fans, but how does this differ to the "bullshit" every popular Battle Shounen pullls?I just don´t know how HxH fans  want to defend it as a Seinen with no plot armor after this and the Gon incident.

Don't know anything about defending it as Seinen with no plot armor but usually stuff like this comes with a price at least in HxH. Like Gon nen vow power up which was revelaed with Kurapika powering up and conditioning his abilities when he told them about it and Gon did "pay the price" for that vow and I'm pretty sure everyone agrees that Nanika was a convinient asspull, at least I think it is and from what I read about it. Sure it is revelaed that Nanika is from the DC but still, convinient asspull.

This one seems just like a plain old asspull that I guess ppl weren't expecting fron HxH, I know I didn't. Hisoka didn't really pay any price, it doesn't have any kind of drawback he just came back to life, recreated his limbs with bungee gum because why the fuck not? and casually kills off 2 troupe members. Thw whole thing is just........ at loss of words honestly.

OMG so many fucking haters right here!!! Hisoka is Smart why don't you accept that ??? or it`s just because your favourite character died  ??

Not really, I'm mad that a character comes back to life from one of the biggest asspulls ever pulled out. I expected Hisoka to be alive but the way it was handled was terrible.

I agree, Togashi could just kill Chrollo, he'll die since Zombie Hisoka is pretty much on killing spree.

The thing is, People thing the gum was activated when machi was there after like an hour or so.

The Nen she saw was his WHOLE nen, that means this is the time he woke up. The gum could have been working inside since the beginning for all we know.

way to go Hisoka , now we are sure that hisoka will embark in the new journey to the dark continent in order to hunt down the spiders ,

i can't wait to see him fighting Feitan i'm eager to see how he gonna handle the Pain cracker , or maybe we will see him fighting feitan and phinks at the same time since they are always together

I just don´t know how HxH fans are wanna defend it as a Seinen with no plot armor after this and the Gon incident.Nobody says it's a seinen. And "no plot armor" is the most stupid thing to say about a series. The quality of plot / writing / characters doesn't depend on that. The author can push the plot the way he wants and it sometimes looks like "plot armor". But it's not the right way to judge whether a series is good or not. Because everything, every plot twist or plot progression can be seen as "plot armor".

Dude, if you´re just a fan of the series no offense to you, you´re a cool guy. I don´t have a problem with people thinking your way. Actually I always agreed with this opinion.

But I´ve seen several people calling HxH a Seinen.
