THIS IS NOT MY REPLY to our debate - merely letting you know that I've seen your response, and i'll have something prepared for you this evening. My reply will only occur in this post #402 after I edit it and address the various points of contentions.
Mikasa, nice to see you again– I had been checking here periodically awaiting your reply - to see if we should continue our discussion. I just read your most recent post #401
As promised, since you did in fact reply, I am now going to read over all of this thread’s contents from beginning to end. I will locate your argument and refresh my memory of my own posts. Though, I will definitely be replying to you throughout the night- but give me a little bit of time, I’m multi-tasking atm and will also intend to be quite thorough in my response(s). Will you be around tonight/tomorrow?
Also, while I still do not appreciate your jabs at my real life misfortunes with the Iraq war – I do hope for a friendly discussion as I will just laugh and be done if there is any ad hominem. I will only engage in discourse that is grounded in sound logic; I will not be addressing non sequitur, other fallacious reasoning, or minor semantics.
I see your passion for HxH, and very much share the sentiment; it is my hope that after our discussion has concluded we can continue to evaluate each other’s posts regarding HxH and can cultivate a positive, friendly atmosphere in our discussing the joy HxH brings.
My initial reaction to your post: fascinating and enjoyable examples; though not entirely sure how exactly you are disagreeing with me? I see that you provided an interesting, and compelling counterexample to that small portion of my previous post that you quoted. Yet, **fundamentally** I’m not seeing much difference in our perspectives– at this point, after reading your latest post – my impression is that you’re providing even further examples/reasoning why this chapter was not an asspull. This is exactly what my initial post (#363) said. I have quite clearly stated Togashi has laid the groundwork with enough foreshadowing to dictate this not be labled an “asspull”. Perhaps I have not sufficiently articulated my perspective for you. Regardless I enjoyed the details you most recently presented, but again – this is not anything I ever disagreed with. However, since it has been a handful of days and you would like to further our discussion:
So, as I said – I’m going to be reading over all of this thread. I will for sure reply. Give me some time. I do request that we both strive to keep things mature, and on topic henceforth.
