Gintama Chapter 585 Discussion

I'm not so sure Gintoki will win (but we'll see), I want their fight to end in a draw.

Whatever @ziggy_Z, it still difficult fight right? am I wrong?

My money on this fight is on Gintoki. Considering how likely he is to fight Utsuro/Shouyo again, this is pretty much just his preliminary fight the same way it was for Utsuro against Umibouzu. But with his hands fucked up like that who knows how long it'll be before the main event.

Same here... I know Gin-chan is the mc and all, but I think Kagura should have a major role in this arc.

Gintoki with 2 badly injured and incapacitated hands. So he ripped off part of his yukata and tied his bokuto to his dominant hand.

I'm seeing the Shiroyasha Gintoki here in this chapter.

Though Gin is always have stronger spirit than his opponent. Just like it's going to be a difficult fight for Kamui, because Gintoki is getting even stronger. I can understand where you're coming from, but honestly I think this is right. Kagura had her try in SA where she failed against him, and right now Kamui is even stronger than he was when they fought, so she'd lose again.



Sorachi can make any character win any fight if it's convenient for the story, come on. It's all about the circumstances. Look at chapter 577, she had him. He's a mess right now anyway.

That can be applied to every piece of fiction ever. It's shit writing.





Sorachi put this in for a reason, and I believe one reason is to address the Kagura issue: it's not her fight, sure she could probably equal/best Kamui in rage mode, but she doesn't want to kill him, she wants to save him, for him to go back to how he once was. That's why, imo, her being in standby is the right choice.



It's not necessarily about the physical fight though is it? Winning a fight against him wouldn't win him over. I meant it should be her problem to solve. If Gin is the one to change Kamui's mind than that would be his accomplishment and she would have accomplished nothing. What's happening right now is very important to her and to her character and it's been building up for a long while. It would be a cop out to not have her participate.

Well that's why I said I understood your point of view. And, honestly, betides my first post, I can't contest you. Perhaps she herself can't also come up with an answer to contest Kamui's anger/reasoning?
