Gintama Chapter 585 Discussion

Like I predicted before @ziggy_Z, it's going to be difficult fight for Gin-Chan. There's Kamui that are getting stronger than Hosen instead of Gintoki. Though Gin is always have stronger spirit than his opponent.



2 weeks are nothing if there's HxH manga.

Damn...gintherapy is still in place and its as brutal as i thought it would be, and did gintoki lose his fingers in that panel?! Still damn both these guys are STRONG.

I like how gintoki sees through kamui as an empty shell, and tries to tell him that he was similar in the past but found a way to fill it. I guess it's working in some way; kamui (in my opinion) is no longer fighting with his instincts, he's full-on emotional now which i hope explains why his punches are less effective. Even umi thinks theres a change in him: that he looks scared.



On a side note: i still feel sorry for kagura just standing there while her two "brothers" fight.




Oh sh@t!!! No gintama for two weeks?!!

Ah well, at least I'll have the new game of thrones to keep me company, lol.

So many awesome Gintoki face panels, damn!!! The fight was really badass. Loved how Gintoki wrapped his arm like that :D

Damn, this fight lived up to expectations. I love how there's no dueling, it's only one huge hit after another. But more than that, loved how Sorachi began the chapter with the end of YIF.



Am a bit confused with Kamui's character, but his dialogue this chapter clears it a bit. And I don't get how he remembers Gin's eyes when he fought Takasugi, since Kamui was busy with Kagura.



The last four pages were simply masterful.

It should be Kagura's character arc coming to a peak here along with Kamui's, and just having her stand there is a disservice to how awesome she usually is. Where's the Kagura in 577!! I know that Gin has his MC privileges and solving other people's problems is kind of his thing, but I honestly believe this shouldn't be his fight to fight.

I can understand where you're coming from, but honestly I think this is right. Kagura had her try in SA where she failed against him, and right now Kamui is even stronger than he was when they fought, so she'd lose again. Unless she and rages like in YIF. However, that would be the disservice to her because of the YIF flashback we got at the start of the chapter; Sorachi put this in for a reason, and I believe one reason is to address the Kagura issue: it's not her fight, sure she could probably equal/best Kamui in rage mode, but she doesn't want to kill him, she wants to save him, for him to go back to how he once was. That's why, imo, her being in standby is the right choice.

Damn he broke Gin's both hands he can't even hold a sword right. That's that Yato endurance vs standard human.



Its gonna be a long wait indeed, but I don't expect this fight to last too long, either Gin will drop down cause of injuries, or Kamui cause of exhaustion, after all he fought 2 Yatos before this fight.



But he's still eating Gin's punches tho.

Damn, that was badass. Setting Kamui in his place as the idiot big brother. This is why, GIN IS DA BEST.

"I am Yorozuya Gin-Chan" damn that just gave me the chills. This chapter was just AMAZING, especially the fight was done so well.

I'm not so sure Gintoki will win (but we'll see), I want their fight to end in a draw.

My money on this fight is on Gintoki. Considering how likely he is to fight Utsuro/Shouyo again, this is pretty much just his preliminary fight the same way it was for Utsuro against Umibouzu. But with his hands fucked up like that who knows how long it'll be before the main event.
