Gintoki headbutted Umibozu 'to prove he's now stronger than him' in a funny way, he did that to make Kamui sure Gintoki is now the strongest so they'd fight.

I tend to understand every villain in the Gintama universe since the majority of them had pretty sad backstories such as Itou's loneliness and longing for acceptance, Takasugi's hatred against the Bakufu for killing Shoyou, Jiraia's backstory with his sister, and Sasaki's (which was really damn sad as well as his death). TBH, I never understood Hosen's intentions although his death scene was kinda sad. Nizou's character had no backstory which is a shame because I felt like they could have expanded his character and talked about his blindness somehow. And I feel like Oboro's past is about to be real dark. And Utsuro/Shoyou's even darker. But I STILL don't understand where Kamui's rage and bullshit is coming from... Even after there were a few chapters explaining it. Literally, Sorachi just turned one of the most popular villains into one of the most detestable villains. Kamui is just an immature sob

I guess gintoki doesn't want to c kagura hurt anymore, so he's taking full responsibility even when he shouldn't. It was kagura's fight but it's obvious she's still not up to her brother's level yet...physically wise.

I dont like how gintoki seems to b the "solution " to this family "problem ", it totally downgrades the entire yato family making kagura and umi look like totall failures.

Gintoki's letting kamui to let go of all that bottled up anger hes been stewing himself in for almost a decade. Once thats out he can reform.

Im getting tired of sll the kamui drama: its been dragged out and it's hurting his character (haters out there) not to mention his popularity so i hope by next chapter or two its done. :/

plus Gintoki is much stronger than he was when he fought Housen. How do you know? I can't remember Gintoki training to become stronger, as far as I know he was only lazing around, maybe you can give me some proof.Because during his final fight with Nizou, his ability was coming back to him since he was idle for around a decade. Every fight afterwards (even for that fight) he would lose the first round and win the second, meaning his ability would continue to reach his prime the second time he fights when his body gets used to the person he's fighting (since it was always a stronger opponent). The only major person he fought once was his strongest opponent, Housen, so his ability was still capable of increasing, considering that it was only less than halfway into the series.

Furthermore, it's a Shonen trope that the MC (or characters in general) get stronger the more they experience, and even though Gintoki didn't practice, he still got training in the form of occasionally fighting strong opponents.

Therefore, the Gintoki right now, has achieved his prime strength (technically, by Shogun Assassination he did, because Takasugi was portrayed as strong as Kamui in Odds & Evens, just as Katsura was to his fellow disciples when he "shed his coward skin").

Awwwww, after reading Gintama you havent underwstood anything yet?

Training? Power up? get stronger? these words are taboo in Gintama. Go learn your leason by Ginpachi sensei. Stand in the hallway.

Gintoki is stronger than Kamui because he has his family (the yorozuya) by his side. I think this chapter makes it very easy to understand, yes?

Gintoki just headbutted Umibozu

LIKE WHAT THE HELL MAN?! WHAT'S THE POINT? More importantly, I can't understand a damn thing; and I don't like Google's translation. Can anyone explain what is happening?

EDIT:

The foreseen fight during Yoshiwara in Flames has finally happened. Yis!

And the clash begins. I still want Kagura to beat him and I guess she still isn't up to the challenge.
