I hope this isn't the actual backstory. Given that there are aliens and monsters, I was hoping the entity behind Gantz might be some sort of divine creator.

I thought the reveal was hilarious, disturbing and typical of the manga.  Why are people disappointed at the idea of it being revolving around bets?  The entire manga is about the disgusting nature of humanity, we've seen an entire cast full of humans do disgusting things, with a handful attempting to do the right thing, it comes as no surprise to me that that Gantz is just a game of amusement for the elite.



The aliens have yet to be explained though...

Wait ... So Gantz really was just a game? Where the hell did the aliens come from then ... Anyways I am going to guess that the "German Otaku" is somehow evil.

I'm getting even more confused. When GANTZ finishes publishing, I'll read through all of it once again.



But the retarded daughter was just.... too much. I was hoping for a more awesome explanation for the whole thing, but... oh well. :/

Kinds weird to read this half-English/half-German... but not as weird as the translator translating more than the old guy actually said. But I have to compliment the author, that's the best German I've ever read in a Manga (well, if you ignore that vocabulary-malfunction from last time).

I was against the idea of her being the key to everything as well but for some reason, I started to like it. I could live with it but it's too early to jump to conclusions... or THE conclusion in this case.
