For Mashima to not only deliver shit on a plate in terms of plot but also in terms of wrapping up character connections is basically spitting on all of us.

I didn´t mean to say that shipping is bad.



Level 1-5 is perfectly fine. Level one being a casual that likes one of them because the story dictates it. e.g Goku and Chichi and level 5 being a shipper that writes fanfiction. But there is a problem when you verbally assault people over your preferences in fictional couples, a level 10 shipper.

I myself had my one pairing I actively rooted for and got it, but I only rooted for it because it was the logical choice the story had hinted upon.

That pairing was Naruto and Hinata and for me started 12 years ago and ended 2014. On the other hand the only Harem I ever enjoyed to which I was introduced 15 years ago Ranma 1/2  made it pretty clear from the getgo which girl would win and Akane won. I prefered Shampoo because all the girls were insane, but she was the hottest one so she was the one I´d pick. Didn´t got it, didn´t care, knew it was gonna happen.



On the topic Fairy Tail. Gotta agree the show is garbage and the pairings were the only last "mistery" left. However even if Mashima didn´t gave the fanservice fans wanted, he gave them a huuuge blank page they can fill out with all the implications he put into it throughout the story?



Lazy? Maybe, but it´s nothing worse than anything he did before.



TL:DR gotta know which battles to fight and detect a lost cause when it´s screaming in your face. Mashima got bored with Fairy Tail, it´s nothing new, no poiint in getting mad now.

Glad they didnt ended with a kiss, the whole arc was bullshit. But enjoyable bullshit, awesome ending started with adventure. Ended with an endless adventure, they outplayed me. 6/10

That final chapter was alright, how ironic that is quite fitting for the show considering how much stuff it spews friendship, well I'm not even complaining, and it makes sense if they're not going to put the couples or anything (even though romance was just nothing to me for this series).



It wasn't that great but it was a pretty enjoyable run, the thing that got me really frustrated was the last arc which was pretty much the point where I couldn't enjoy it anymore even with the issues at hand. Overall this series for me was fun, but it had its really bad moments here and there.



Also, this is quite ironic for me so I'll post this here, its kind of unrelated.

Getting into Linkin Park (which was a day after getting into FT's anime)

And then knowing what happened yesterday and now its going in reverse makes me feel sour as hell, in some sense. With that I guess I will bid this series farewell, but I am hoping Hiro can work better on next time, don't really hate him for sure to be completely honest so.

Below average manga that I first started reading for the plot but when that turned to garbage, I just stuck around for the boobs.



The only good thing I have to say about this manga is the author's work ethic and the art. I loved the art and the author's work ethic is impressive there were hardly any breaks from the time I started following the manga.



All that being said everything else was mediocre. The plot was garbage, none of the villains were memorable and the only good villain (acnologia) was completely ruined in the last few chapters. This manga overused cliches to the point that it got frustrating to read and relied on fanservice to a lot of people interested (I am ashamed to admit I was one of these people).



Overall it gets a 4/10. It was a great manga that turned into garbage as the series progressed.

I disliked the ending in the sense there was no resolution of the plot devices he introduced and there was a lot ship baiting



the only confirmed ship was the gajeel and levy. Oh and the gray and water chick ship

It was a good series. Loved it.
