I was going to ask the same thing.

Did we forget something that arc?

Or maybe Eileen will go in the future before Erza is born.

The chapter was fucking awesome. Erza is my favorite character and so is his cruel/good hearted mom which is Eileen/Irene. The question is : Why does she want her daughter Erza dead? I know there has to be some deep reasoning behind this.



I hope it's some positive reasonable outcome. I don't want Eileen to be to be a bad/cruel MILF to her only daughter and be the main antagonist of this arc replacing Zeref. ;-; I don't want that to happen. Pls. Mashima. Pls. Don't. Please let there be a reason as to why she wants to kill her beloved daughter. Please let both of them realize that they love each other and needed to protect each other over Acnologia after this confrontation. :DD I hope Eileen turns out to be good at the end and she has some hidden good agenda.

Feel like the father won't be shown doubt it was Belserion though, unless just giving her some dragon power made her pregnant.

Erza's father is probably some barbarian east of Westeros.

The goddes that created Chakra in Naruto gave birth to twins without any specification who the father was. Conclusion, it was some random guy.



The best selling Manga of all time has a main cast without parents, with the exception of 2 out of 10 members (Ussop and Sanji). Goku´s mother was revealed 20 years after the Manga had finished publication . There is nothing weird about that.



Those details simply don´t matter. They could enrich the story, but have no necessity. If you keep going down that ladder you may as well ask, who are Erza´s grandparents? Who are their parents etc.



Blindfolded do you remember Natsu´s parents designs. Did they have even one line of dialogue? No? So how did their reveal impact your viewpoint on the character of Natsu.



The best you get out of such reveals is a "huh that´s nice" momment.

Interesting chapter. For everyone who hates Eileen... sorry guys. Eileen went from a character who was pulled out of nowhere to the inventor of Dragon Slayer magic. That was surprising and I suppose some people are going to be pretty mad about this.

So... who is Erza's father? Eileen has Belserion's name but it doesn't seem like he's the father. Who knows though? On a side note, Erza really is Eileen's biological daughter. That's good to know.

Also, I can't believe Lucy is actually naked on top of Natsu. I mean, seriously? We don't need fanart anymore, do we? So Mashima, if you're going to go this far, can we get some scenes like this for the other pairings? That would be fun. :P
