Alright again, gray doesn't really make sense and is stupid right now, because he is not on his right mind. and yes I agree that it's not Natsu's fault, and also at first I was like "Gray why can't you just freaking kill zeref???" since he started it all! but the fact that he lose his sanity and that he's so focus and obsess at the one task that his father gave him which is defeating END is the reason why he is fighting his best friend right now.

Actually,I wanted a fight between them where Natsu was in his final END form,possibly his etherious one and lost his mind and Gray would be the one who would use his power to supress Natsu's demon side.I just can't stand pointless fights like these.While,I completely agree with your arguments,Gray didn't need to use his devil slaying power,because he didn't encounter any demons during the war so he wouldn't have lost his sanity in the first place,since he knew the concequences of this magic's usage.

The only stupid post here is yours that lacks any serious argument.Natsu vs Gray is currently wasted right now.Natsu has a reason that acts like that and he is suffering in his current state and doesn't try to kill his friends.Ofc he is also acting stupid,because he is going to kill himself but at least his reasons make more sense than Gray's.You talk about a mental trauma,when he didn't even check Juvia if she was alive,because she was(another bs of this arc),used his devil slaying magic,which was completely unnecessary,tainted by it and now blocks the way of his best friend,who wants to kill the one who created the demons.The fact that you attack me when you try to defend a character,who even though has one of the most interesting backstories in this manga,has a power,which he gained via asspull and now is being wasted as well,shows clearly your fanboism.The whole direction of Gray's objective has turned into shit right now,just like the whole arc.If you like it,good for you,but let people have their own opinions about this.

I also wanted a good fight, but the way I see this fight goes is that both have totally lost themselves to their demons and are just trying to kill each other. I don't think Gray would be the one stopping Natsu/END, I think that was Lucy's purpose to begin with.

well Yes Gray didn't have to use his devil slaying and he knows how dangerous that power is but that's the main reason why he had that in the first place, it was his trump card in defeating END but instead of controlling that demon slaying power, he let the demon/power control him therefore losing his sanity again due to juvia's death and his past traumas hunting him and now natsu being END, this dude snapped.
I remember how much hyped I was for a Natsu vs Gray fight,after the end of Tartarus arc.Now,with the current arc after all this stupid pointless melodrama,"sacrifices"(except Sherria's lost magic),boring oneshots and now this fight that started for stupid reasons from both sides killed this hype for me,with the direction this whole arc took.If this arc doesn't end any time soon,I can see people who will stop hyping this manga,even when Acnologia appears for a fight.

He didn't inherit the powerup, the powerup Gray got was transferred to him. We see transferred magic all the way back in Tenrou. Suggesting it's an asspull, when it's well explained, foreshadowed with consequences, is just laughable.

Natsu didn't have his magic transferred to him, he consumed it.
Gajeel didn't have Rogue's magic transferred to him, he consumed it. Despite the fact that there was absolutely no risk for his powerup, same with Natsu, and they pulled this asspull out of their asses, despite the fact that iron isn't compatible with shadow for instance.
Gray on the other hand was transferred his magic in the form of a tattoo, much like how Lucy gained Aquarius powerup, and how Cana was able to use FG, so no it isn't an asspull. Get yourself educated. Atleast Gray is sticking to his own element, and there's actual foreshadowing considering Gray was able to use DeS even before he met Silver. But yeah you're an idiot for even categorizing a powerup to an actual asspull like Natsu's LFD and Gajeel's ISD.

To be honest I have never been hyped about their fight at all, (but Im not saying I don't like it and I still want to see how the fight ends). Well If you think about it the whole point of those sacrifices and dramas leads to the Natsu vs Gray fight, I could not think of any other reasons for both of them to fight except for you know those sacrifices and dramas. Because If Gray knows Juvia didn't die I don't think He could have attacked natsu that recklessly.
Now I am just hoping that next chapter won't disappoint me and finally get to see a good full fight
if only Mashima would dedicate that next whole chapter just for the Natsu vs Gray fight
