I also wanted a good fight, but the way I see this fight goes is that both have totally lost themselves to their demons and are just trying to kill each other. I don't think Gray would be the one stopping Natsu/END, I think that was Lucy's purpose to begin with.

well Yes Gray didn't have to use his devil slaying and he knows how dangerous that power is but that's the main reason why he had that in the first place, it was his trump card in defeating END but instead of controlling that demon slaying power, he let the demon/power control him therefore losing his sanity again due to juvia's death and his past traumas hunting him and now natsu being END, this dude snapped.
I remember how much hyped I was for a Natsu vs Gray fight,after the end of Tartarus arc.Now,with the current arc after all this stupid pointless melodrama,"sacrifices"(except Sherria's lost magic),boring oneshots and now this fight that started for stupid reasons from both sides killed this hype for me,with the direction this whole arc took.If this arc doesn't end any time soon,I can see people who will stop hyping this manga,even when Acnologia appears for a fight.

Alright again, gray doesn't really make sense and is stupid right now, because he is not on his right mind. and yes I agree that it's not Natsu's fault, and also at first I was like "Gray why can't you just freaking kill zeref???" since he started it all! but the fact that he lose his sanity and that he's so focus and obsess at the one task that his father gave him which is defeating END is the reason why he is fighting his best friend right now.

He didn't inherit the powerup, the powerup Gray got was transferred to him. We see transferred magic all the way back in Tenrou. Suggesting it's an asspull, when it's well explained, foreshadowed with consequences, is just laughable.

That was stupid. They literally have no reason to fight each other, especially Gray.
Natsu may be a demon but Gray should know he had nothing to do with what happened to him.
And wouldn't you want to kill Zeref, the guy who made the demons in the first place? I just don't get Gray.
I think it had to do with Gray's father's last wishes to destroy E.N.D. for god knows why and then Invel connected the dots, but yeah, it's not Natsu's fault that Gray's parents and Ur died...

Hey come on now, when it comes to a person one cares about, people can do irrational things and not think right (be it good or Evil) especially when there is no one to stop/calm them. We've seen it many times. Like how Naruto thought Sasuke died and went Kyuubi rage for the first time, or Ichigo going all crazy Hollow, Gintoki vs Jirouchou with Otose, Sasuke and his brother, Luffy killing himself after failing to save Ace until Jinbe saved him, etc.

A couple things annoyed me about this chapter. first is grays reasoning to kill natsu, he may hate the demons of zeref but come on natsu is his friend who he has known for years so it should click in his mind that natsu has got nothing to do with everything that went on in his past, whereas I can kind of understand natsu's reasoning due to the desire to kill zerefmaking it so he can't think clearly
Second of all he barely won against Invel who is as strong as, if not weaker than dimaria due to her having God takeover magic who natsu traumatised last chapter. but against a partially transformed END (who even acnologia fears) he's fighting on par with him?
Where did the sudden power up come from?
Ehh probably from his rage as a result of juvia "death" but yeah your right it's kind of BS lol.

In Natsu's Case, time was stopped by Dimaria so there's no way he could know if lucy was still alive (i assume her heart has stopped too during dimaria's freeze) before he asks Dimaria about what she did, END's rage consumed Him
About the heart pulse? yeah already thought that was the case. I don't really care about the checking of pulse with or w/out dimaria's time stop, I just mentioned it because i thought it was comical.
