You sum it up pretty much accurately. The answer lies with Invel now. If he gets defeated easily too, you can summarized that none of the Spriggan are useful.

Well it would help if Mashima didn't setup the defeat of 1/4 of the Spriggan 12 so early. In this chapter we already know the Historia aren't at their original strength, and Neinhart said it has a toll on his body when conjuring those three. So we're left with 8, 7 if we discount Brandish.
