He did strike her in the heart. All Brandish did was make the wound smaller (meaning the wound was already inflicted then she made it smaller). Its not that August missed or she made his beam smaller. Either way, she still has a hole in her heart which she would die from regardless of making the wound smaller. You can survive with a hole in your heart as long as it it´s miniscule. There is a disease called Atrial septal defect. You also can survive for several seconds with a stopped heart. There are no issues with this development if the wound is shrinked just  enough.



True, I forgot about those defects. They are extremely deadly though and require around the clock care I know that much. I feel like that is much different from a birth defect than an artificially created wound that wound tear the vasculars of the heart opposed to a defect that causes a hole in the heart where the vasculars have tissue still enclosing them allowing them not to bleed out and just have irregular pressure and heartbeat.

Mira surviving by Brandish's presence is a feasible and acceptable outcome.



A good chapter except until the last page. A Dragneel that isnt the two brothers? Such unnecessary complication.

because it's MAGIC. everything can be happen with magic. and yeah, we cant deny the fact that magic is shit because a big trouble can be solved easily with it.

You've basically described every Spriggan with that.  Even Eileen's Universe One feat falls flat once you realize there's nothing stopping Acnologia from just transforming and flying over to the newly shrunken Fiore.  Remember the Ghost dragons were able to blitz around the continent several times over to destroy the Face bombs in an instant and Anco's just as fast so he really has no reason to take so long.

To me, the shrinking wounds thing isn't an asspull or a deus ex machine, it's a straight up impossibility.  Because in order to shrink wounds in a way that helps to close them or minimize the damage, she'd have to be replicating cells around the wound.  That isn't shrinking anymore, that's healing magic.
