Gonna go out on a whim and say that Zera is Zeref and Mavis's daughter.

I mean, look at that last page, the resemblance is uncanny.

Read Fairy Tail Zero man.

But we´re dealing with a manga that heavily utilizes timetravel , xD. It´s nothing I´d put past Hiro, honestly he went Kubo with this chapter.

The only way to top this would be Zeref to claim that everything went according to plan. At this point I don´t know , Hiro Mashima trascended humanity too. I can´t predict this guy anymore.

That would be too much even for him xD too many different timelines etc... He won't say that since he seems... well not shocked, but he did question Mavis being alive, and he didn't knew Eileen was gonna use that spell, which is a pretty good spell, well thought got rid of Acnologia for a bit (tho he can fly), Zeref is close to FH so it's win.

Now if you all stop over analyzing the story and characters and all that and instead of hating the elements that actually making it deserve reading like comedy moments and fanservice and stupid pointless action and actually read it for those then you might just have fun reading a Fairy Tail chapter every week instead of frustration.

You forgett that there is a moral to be told with this story.

Other Shounen manga make their moral hard work, or friendship, some make it love although I´ve nevr encountered one that wrote that well.

Point being through Hiro Mashima´s inconsistensies even the morals he tries to convey get dilluted. Let´s assume the solution to evrything in this manga is love.

What qualifies ones love to be greater than someone elses? It´s downright insulting to the characters he has created. Literally saying into their faces, the MC´s love towards anything is greater than the love every other entity feels, although we´ve seen several instances of compassion through other characters.

Don´t get me wrong, I know that the MC is being made succesful were other seemingly more powerful characters fail, but using the figurative concept of love for that is just insulting to everyone who ever felt this feeling and I do not mean romantic love, but in general.

The telling of morals is something Fairy Tales succed in, if the author fails to convey  even this properly, he is justifiably considered bad and people may get angry when they see their morals getting raped. Not saying that most of the moaning and bitching in this threads is justified, because people should know by now that the best they can hope for is some decent teenage romance.

You are doing exactly what i said is the problem. Once again you are trying to analyze shit about love and morals etc. JUST STOP IT!!!!

It's just some silly fighting fanservice shounen. The friendship ass-pulls are more relevant to give the heroes ways of winning that are about you actually considering how important friendship is.

I eagerly await the next chapter with the hope of seeing some nice art, some nice boobs and ass scene from one of the many hot girls and some funny moments.

I couldn't give a shit about some supposed morals, about where the story is supposed to go or what is suppose to happen.

Nothing matters, all that matters is Erza's glorious booty, Lucy's funny faces and comments and the art. Just accept it and learn to focus on what Fairy Tail really has to offer.

There is a reason why people loved fairy tail in the beginning. And remember that those were the times without fanservice and all related crap. Why would anyone get into fairy tail then? You already have your answer now.

If you think that fairy tail was crap from the beginning, then i wonder how you got into the series, since it didn't have fanservice back then.

This was the time when I would get more hyped for a Chapter of Fairy Tail than for Naruto or One Piece, the plot had started going somewhere, during Tenrou Island we got introduced to Zeref who was always mentioned but never an active part of the story and he behaved unlike any of the rumors around him. The fanservice was there, but manageable, nothing I wasn´t used too from One Piece.

The turning point for the story was when he supposedly killed the Tenrou group to introduce a 7 year timeskip whose only purpose was to age Romeo.

Although I knew that Hiro wouldn´t kill the main cast, there was a slight chance that this might happen. As expected it didn´t, but what made the plottwist horrible was the pacing. From then on nothing seemed to matter anymore. Fights were inconsistend before, like Natsu becoming the strongest whenever the plot demands it, but it always had some Deus ex machina behind it that enabled the power up, with repercussions following up.

After Tenru Island every conflict became meaningless, with rare exceptions.

On top of that, the timeskip was meaningless, because any repercussions were immediately brushed off, or forcefed to the audience through Hiro dialogue boxes, telling the readers why something was bad when he had brought back the whole cast one chapter after their supposed "deaths" with some bullshit Deus ex machina, just for him to resolve any occuring conflict in the fastest manner possible.

Fights weren´t oneshots pre timeskip, the girls were sexy, but the fanservice wasn´t as blatant, better placed and used more in a joking manner.

Wendy wasn´t as prevalent and and the screentime was generally distributed more equal among the cast, with less wasted chapters on boring cats and pedophilic content.

Honestly Hiro Mashima, fuck you for your pedophile undertones, especially in your omakes they´re sick.

When did you start reading this series? If it was a year ago i can understand but the series started off with continuity and good writing before the bullshit kept repeating itself.

Why do you read One Piece? You have it in your favorites. Are you telling me that the morals One Piece conveys are bad? Doesn´t it deliver morals? If One Piece does, why are people wrong in assuming that a different Shounen tells morals too? What´s your point?

I am fully behind the sentiment that people have to go into Fairy Tail with low expectations, nonetheless it´s not like the series never tries to teach morals. If they don´t, how do you explain the amount of panels dedicated to friendship speeches and the elaboration upon feelings and their meaning. Again your argument makes no sense. I can argue that Mashima sometimes contradicts himself, but you claim that there is no substance to begin with.

Which is a fair opinion to have, but you cannot apply that to everyone.

It´s like "insert fantard here" One Piece storytelling offers nothing besides retelling the same story each arc with fights that have no value because everyone knows Luffy will win against the Arc boss. Wouldn´t you disagree?

Gajeel's return literally doesn't surprise me at all. A bit early for his return though, they should of saved it until the end of the arc.

Ah nice to see Zera again.

>Gajeel returns before Levy and Lily's tears have even dried up

>World Reconstruction magic is just Brandish 2.0

>All that countdown hype for what's essentially just turning the country into a glorified arena

>The country being shrunken to 1/20 of it's size will likely be treated as a minor inconvenience at best.

I sometimes wonder if Mashima does all of this just to test the patience of his audience.
