I have no problem with Chelia win , but the fight with Spriggan so far was so underwhelming..even Ajeel's fight was much better than this fight

Hiro actually said on a page of the Volume 52 that there's a reason behind there being 12 Spriggans instead of 5 or 6 and he even said the editor argued with him about that number being way too much.

I dont know how to react to that, one way is me thinking "whelp, then I guess only 4 or 5 Spriggans are actually going to be something, the rest are fodders".

Other way is that all of the Spriggans are still alive and are going to be relevant to something later on.

Overall I don't know about how to feel with those fights, not sure if Hiro really changed his style of fights or he's doing it on purpose only to make the Spriggans return later on.

I mean, even if you say that all of the Spriggans fight so far have been logic, they still felt way too underwhelming comparing to fights of previous arcs and judging by the Spriggans reputation alone they should be having fights much more epic.

To be honest any hype I've had for the Spriggans fight died on this one, I don't really look foward to Neinhart fight even though we have Jellal,Erza and Kagura against him, I only look foward to his personality.

from the start of the war, some of the minor characters said that they are confident in this battle because they became stronger. Maybe hiro wrote that for fairies to show to us that they put too much confident and wishing something bad happen in the end. Too much confidence will kill you.

And it was zeref's strategy that Fairy's weakness is they don't kill their enemy. He said that.

Honestly, with the exception of Invel and August (both of whom I am cautiously optimistic about now), I think all the Spriggans I had interest in have been taken out or just ended up being rather disappointing.  Maybe it'll turn around later, but I feel like there just not portrayed as menacing or even as interesting as some of the other villains.  I guess it comes down to a lack of tension.  The inevitability that the Spriggans are going to be insignificant and only used to hold until Zeref and Acnologia get involved (as demonstrated with Serena).

Acnologia aside, there's been foreshadowing that Wendy would save Erza at some point this arc too, so it was pretty much a done deal that she wouldn't be giving up her magic -- it's possible she'll help in the Neinhart battle too depending on how strong he is.

The whole thing was pretty sad though. Now that Chelia is gone Wendy is the sole healing / support mage in the series. I only wonder how she'll grow with the guilt of Chelia sacrificing her magic to save her on her mind.

oh yes. I still remember that panel. When Wendy said, Erza still protecting them again. I once hoped for that. Maybe when battling some spriggan except for Neinhart IMO.

Poor Chelia, felt bad for her this chapter, that look she gave towards the end made me kinda sad/bittersweet.

Sometimes I think Hiro is high/drunk, he barely focus on other Ishigar guilds and now he just announce were having a war with overall 700guilds, not to mention he never even finished introducing the other wizard saints.
