Another idea. As we know Acnologia has extracted the souls of Igneel and so on. So do you think it's possible that those souls may manifest themself again?

Awesome chapter.

One year has passed.

Lucy working for the Weekly Sorcerer Magazine.

The Grand magic Games are on again and none of the major Guilds entered.

Natsu always making an awesome entrance.

His flames melting the arena and everyone's clothes.

Natsu and Happy get to see Lucy again. So sweet.

So,this was basically about Lucy. We see what she's been doing for the past year,and guess what we get...



She became a UNDERWEAR MODEL. LIKE FOREAL?!! I couldn't help but feel that after so many hints she had finally made it into the "P" industry...if u know what I mean. But alas,she chose a better job and decided to become a reporter. Thank goodness.



I just think it's so sweet how she's been looking for her lost friends for so long...it's sad if u think about it. The scene where she stood in front of that wall full with news reports really pulled some heart strings. But still though,one thing bothers me. After this whole year,while everyone else was training,she didn't do ANYTHING! So she will still remain the weak,damsel in distress,while everyone else have become OP monsters. Heck,I would feel ashamed if a fourteen year old (Wendy) could K.O. me,in a 1v1



Onto the GCM,seems like after Fairy Tail's disband,none of the other guilds care for it anymore. Now their are just totally unimportant guilds fighting for money.

But hey,I think we all knew who that was who walked into the colosseum uninvited.



NATSU!!! And damn,is he badass or what? He basically has power just radiating off of him! He dosent even have to get close to somebody and they are so hot to the point where their clothes can't even take it.



And he basically melted the whole colosseum like it was candle wax!! It's not like that blast of orange color he used have. NO,this is actually FIRE. It melts like its suppose to!!



Im not really favoring the long hair though. I hope he gets it cut soon. I don't want it to go back to exactly how it was,but just not so wild looking. Heck,at least he could flip his bang back up.

But still though,Im so HYPE for the rest of these chapters! I wanna see what else he can do,I want him and Lucy to hug and kiss and cuddle to make up for the years loss. I really believe Lucy should have realized by now how much she loves him. Cause that smile at the end explained everything. Natsu looked just as happy to see her too.

Can't wait to see how everyone else have progressed also.



Chapter 418

Pros: OP Natsu. New character designs.

Cons: Fanservice Lucy. I mean seriously. We know she has a big butt and big boobs,but do we really have to be reminded of that 2-3 panels a PAGE?



Overall Rating: 8/10. Lucy is what bought it down,the other two tenths.

I would like to know if Gray and Juvia have been together all this time.

To be perfectly honest, the return of Natsu would have had much bigger impact if Mashima waited a bit longer. We didn't even really have any time to miss him.

I think the wilder hair is better and Natsu's new power is INSANE!

I almost didn't feel the timeskip! I'm used to a few filling chapters before timeskips, but whatever. Point is I LOVED this chapter :3 Both Natsu and Lucy have longer hair, Natsu's powers have increased a whole lot and Lucy got smarter after a year of being a reporter. Very nice! Can't wait to see the rest of the FT members

She was calmly assessing the power levels of everyone in GMG, which preskip Lucy never did. And she gauged Natsu's power too.



Its obvious she got stronger and had some sort of training, but since she is the protagonist/main-character and we see things through her eyes, the first things we get is her reactions to the changes in others, so we won't see what she did exactly till it is needed in the actual fight.



We did not learn that Lucy actually learned Urano metria in between GMG and when she first used it either till she had to use it.



That is so true..not so weak Lucy anymore huh..sensor...and what are her offensive? cannot wait to see.

that was a great chapter. best timeskip in shounen. I wonder what the next arc will be. I kind of hope they travel around finding all the other FT members

This chapter was great. Everyone went their way and that's cool. As I said before, it was a chance for Mashima to explore characters individually. If you called Lucy working as a reporter/editor congratualations. I hope this arc will be about Lucy and Natsu travelling the world trying to gather everyone back. If you look closelly, Gray was near Juvia, and looks like Levy wasn't with with Gajeel... Is she with Raijin Shun? Lucy put them together for some reason. Also the Strauss siblings are not together nor is Elfman with Evergreen. And no sign of Makarov on the board, at least to me.



So none of the main guilds are participating in the GMG huh? Saberthoot has a reason, they're no longer interested in showing their power to everyone like how Jienma wanted, and I guess Lamia Scale didn't feel the need to enter as their main rivals Saberthoot and FT woudn't be there either. Or Mashima just didn't want to introduce their changes early.



Natsu is the challenger? I sort of thought so when i saw the GMG happening, he looks damn cool but it seems he got even more OP, like Gildarts OP. Burning everything like that, maybe Mashima exagerated a bit. Let's see what how he does against the first pos timeskip boss.



All in all that was a great way to return, hope Mashima takes some time working around the disbanded guild issue instead of rushing the plot. "The flames's mensage", that sort of fit my the put the guild together theory. Anyway 5/5 can't wait for the next chapter.

This chapter basically said that Lucy did nothing while everyone else went off to train. Still useless in my book
