True that. With Igneel warning Natsu not to open the book. And previously how Zeref said that Natsu would be the one to defeat him. It certainly looks like Natsu is or is going to be END. Well time to see how this manga will end.



It's not ending. THere's still a few loose ends to tie up plus Mashima said he wants to get to the 10 year aniversary.



Other parts of the chapter that were very interesting. Makarov's determination to keep Lumen Histoire Existence a secret even at the cost of erasing EVERYONE's memories of it with Doranbalt's help.

Okay let me put it in big bold letters for you.



Exhibit A: END is a fire demon that Igneel, the KING of fire Dragons was unable to defeat in battle.



Exhibit B: END and all of the Demons of Zeref were made to kill Zeref.



Exhibit C: Back on Tenrou, Zeref said the Following about Natsu: "You've grown, Natsu" "Natsu is the only one who can Destroy me." "Not yet. Not Yet. Natsu still can't destroy me"



Exhibit D: Only Natsu or END will be able to meet with Zeref.





And i think there is more to it than that.

And if Zeref want to die, why is he "hoping" that Natsu will be the one not END.

Yes, i remember all of that. But we don't know what happened in the past 400 years with Zeref.



-Exhibit A:  Jsut because Igneel is the king of fire dragons, that doesn't mean, END the strongest demon is weaker than him.

My speculation is, 400 years ago, during their battle, Igneel almost died. And someone sealed END away in the book.



Dragons are immune to magic other than dragon slayer plus Igneel would eat fire magic and turn it into his own power. I never said END was weaker than Igneel. However Igneel couldn't defeat him in a straight up fight. So he sealed and SPLIT END. The character and full power of END went into the book. The body, the blank slate that was left behind was taken in by Igneel who raised it into who Natsu is now. There's MY theory





I get your theory. What i don't get, if END is so bad thing, why didn't Igneel put the book away somewhere safe, where no one can find it?

And other than that, Igneel could have killed the blank body. So that's why i say it: There is more to it than that. And i assume we will find out during the next 2 chapters.



Killing the blank body would potentially just let the spirit get a new one. Whereas if he could foster and raise the vessel into something that could actually TAKE ENDS power from him since it WAS the original vessel, that would be the best way to beat him. He couldn't destroy it. That much is fact from what we heard from Atlas.



Maybe,  If the book gets destroyed, END will die too, because otherwise, Mard would just destroyed the book to release him. So that means, the seal magic not just keep END sealed, but hold the book together. So if Igneel swallowed it or something, it would still be in one piece.



And my only problem with your theory is, why did it took 400 years for Natsu to get strong? I mean, he became stronger in the past 1-2 years than in the past 400? And during the time he joined FT he aged perfectly with the others, but he didn't during 400 years? Maybe he was under some magic.

Great chapter, Lumia Historia better live up to the hype. Doranbolt suppose to errase everyone's memories including his own, I didn't think it was possible to erase your own memories. If that s the case, Makarov is not going to die because if he does than only Gildarts knows the secret he is who knows where, if he was planning on dyin Makarov would tell Doranbolt erase everyone's memories except for whoever he picked as his successor maybe Lexus.



The dragon fight continues, it is just there, I think they both should just go home, they don't really fit into this story, Hiro just wanted for the chapter 400 celebration.  



I thought for a moment Mard Guille was going to say he was Zereff or E.N.D.'s son, but the reveal that they were created to kill Zereff. If these demons weren't so arrogant and loathing of humans, than maybe they could have worked together. How self loathing can you be Zereff, but I guess Tartarus doesn't know things have changed, Zereff no longer wants to die yet, he wants to destroy the world. I think if E.N.D. was revived Zereff kick E.N.D. butt and say "I change my mind."



Finally Gray arrives, and I wonder if his new demon slayer powers is going to immune to Face because I think it is curse magic, so even after Face activates the good guys won't be completely helpless.



Excited to see what comes next. I guess we all jumped the gun on the chapter title that it was about Mavis or Makarov destorying their bodies, it was referring to Zereff. Next chapter "The Absolute Demon", it can't be E.N.D. I don't think he is coming till this part is over, and we just started it.

Their goal is to kill Zeref, cool.

Gray came to kick Mard Geer's ass.

Well given that Gray's using magic, and next chapter the time should hit 00:00 for face's activation, I doubt that'll be enough to defeat Mard. Honestly if it were for Mard to be defeated, I'd rather have E.N.D awake and kill Mard. It would seem more better that way. Not saying that I hate Gray or the power (it's pretty hyped), but it would be OP and we had enough of Erza... I can't deal with that shit again.
