I get what you mean about the taunting feeling stuff but I believe what she meant was that even though wendy is a little girl, and didn't gain much DS training she still managed to gain respect from some of us simply from observing and learning from her fellow Dragon slayers, as we saw in this chapter.

u know all that girls can do it too ish, cuz im sure many were expecting her to be just another lucy but less dependent and wif DS magic ( no offense to lucy fans I totally ship but lets keep it real)

In the end, what matters is how WOMEN feel about it. How WE perceive it, what WE take to heart in regards to it. You aren't someone on a crusade to help women empower themselves, so why do you give a shit about what I think is empowering?



Tumblr, which is feminist heaven, actively agrees that FT is empowering. And THAT is what matters (that women find it empowering, not necessarily that tumblr finds it empowering), because in the end, this doesn't affect you. You just want an excuse to argue.



Also, I love how people assume I try to point out the 'feminist' aspects of FT because I like the series. No one seems to realize, that, GASP



THE ENTIRE REASON I LIKE FT IS BECAUSE OF HOW AWESOME AND, YES, EMPOWERING IT'S FEMALES ARE. This is the reason I LIKE THE SERIES. This is why I GOT INTO THE SERIES. It's not the other way around.

I doubt it. Requiring a strong source of magic to activate it makes sense with the role the Dragons Slayers were made for. Fighting Dragons. And dragons attack with their breath. So converting that breath into an explosive increase in power is the perfect way to fight them.
