Fairy Tail Chapter 337 Discussion

I'm so glad I didn't exert mental energy in an attempt to understand the logic of time travel in the manga.  Everybody remembers what happened, and seems to be the same, but the dragons and bad guy disappear and they all party in the wreckage.



Much of the foreshadowing in this arc seems to be either postponed or just thrown away.  I like the sentiment conveyed:  dragon slayers need to get stronger, NaLu, making friends with a dragon from 400 years ago so I liked the chapter, but it just seemed sloppy and disjointed from a story standpoint.



Now some of you are saying that grassy field was the afterlife.  That does make sense but it creates a dilemma.  Mashima will either end Fairy Tail with all of them dead or again foreshadow something that doesn't remotely come to pass as its shown in the future.

The ending was kinda bittersweet...I kinda was expecting more twist...oh well at least FRouge"s warning about his shadow consuming him was comforting ( yeah I kinda twisted)...

It felt kinda rushed all in all. Oh well, was interesting.

But I'm more interested what will come next, how will they change their everyday routine in corespondence to this event... Also, with this, they might not get it, but they destroyed the gates that could've brought dragons, and with them possible allies against Acnologia, because with what we've seen like this they'll never defeat her, and FRogue said it will be the sole ruler 10 years from now on this planet...hmm

As expected, time travel was way too difficult for Mashima.

So many chapters in a row next week and week after that does that mean Fairy Tail is ending?

I don't see, if all dragons returned to 400 years ago, would that not change the last 400 years?

We didn't see any Ultear this chapter, but judging by the titles of the next three chapters, unless they're chronologically seperate, she's probably alive. Unless gift refers to her 1 minute gift to everyone.
