I actually really like the idea from mh forum, when someone said this arc was just to show DS that they're weak, they don't stand a chance in fight with Acnologia, they have a year untill he (probably) comes again so, a training arc incoming, Acnologia thing, something about Igneel and the other dragons and kind of epilogue? Would seem fair and match Hiro's theory about 3-4 more arcs. Anyway just gimme some team Natsu~ I also hope this dance chapter will be full of pairing fanservice, shippers gonna ship^^

So the Shadow is not actually Rogue. The shadow is something else. And a year from that point, Frosch will die turning him into evil rogue. How foreboding.

I wonder who will try to kill Frosch though he's so innocent?

Apparently something bad happens a year from that point.

Also Mavis apparently treated this whole mess as a test. And the Dragonslayers failed it hard.

Foreshadowing something happening a year from now, along with DSs failing to defeat a dragon gets my time-skip or training arc senses tingling. Who knows though

Also, should Natsu knocking the dragon through the gate count as him defeating it? Or should it not count because he needed to eat Atlas's flame and have Atlas's help to do it?

I think slaying a dragon counts as defeating it. In which case Mavis is a lot more cruel than she seems

Geez they should have just done that for the moment the dragons land!!!!

How could they have knocked a dragon through the gate the moment they landed? It took Natsu eating Atlas's flames, teaming with Atlas, and fighting from Atlas's back with help from him to knock the dragon through.

It couldn't have happened any sooner

I fail to see how Hiros time traveling crap makes any sense at all.

Destroying the gate should not trigger future rogue and the dragons to disappear.

Hiro chose the multiple timeline route so destroying the gate should only result in creating a new timeline and not destroying the other 2 that already existed.

Therefore the gate was never destroyed in future rogue´s timeline and wouldnt result in him disappearing.

The thing about the dragons is even worse. They came from the past o_O

How does them disappearing make any fucking sense?

I knew Hiro would write himself into a corner. Starting a timetravel plot rarely goes well. And Hiro isnt exactly a good story writer that could pull something like this off.

So not only did this arc suck hard it also makes no fucking sense at all. (pls correct me if I made a mistake in the time travel theory)

Let's hope these 6 chapters are something mindblowing to pull the series in a new direction and not just a filler arc/resting scenes/echi fest.

I think this was a bit rushed.

That or Mashima painted himself into a corner with the dragons just being way too powerful for anyone to combat.  He needed a quick way out and used the gate's presence as that out.

If that was the end of how he planned this entire arc from the beginning, that would be very disappointing.
