I am surprisingly satisfied and here I thought, I didn't like the previous change so will be bored in this chapter too. That NaLu moment pierced my heart... :(

Anyways, looking forward to the next arc and the 6 chapters;)

6 chapters in 2 weeks, now that's something.

The arc ended pretty bad and the only real thing I liked in that chapter was the last panel.

I'm so glad I didn't exert mental energy in an attempt to understand the logic of time travel in the manga.  Everybody remembers what happened, and seems to be the same, but the dragons and bad guy disappear and they all party in the wreckage.

Much of the foreshadowing in this arc seems to be either postponed or just thrown away.  I like the sentiment conveyed:  dragon slayers need to get stronger, NaLu, making friends with a dragon from 400 years ago so I liked the chapter, but it just seemed sloppy and disjointed from a story standpoint.

Now some of you are saying that grassy field was the afterlife.  That does make sense but it creates a dilemma.  Mashima will either end Fairy Tail with all of them dead or again foreshadow something that doesn't remotely come to pass as its shown in the future.

Very sensible post. I think it's pretty clear by now that FT is a light-hearted manga so everything seems to go relatively smoothly for the 'good guys', making it seem like all the foreshadowing/tension are false alarms.

Still I think Mashima's story-telling is quite straightforward and usually he doesn't throw too many surprises so that's not what we should be expecting.

I thought that the next arc after the crappy bullshit happy ending magic tournament Fairy Tail will be better, but nope I was wrong. I thought Dragon appearing and some "complex" time travel would atleast save the arc, but it just getting worst.

-the dragon clash the time machine conveniently?

-Dragons disappear conveniently?

-How is destroying the current time machine so that the enemy disappear? Rogue and dragons came is already a matter of fact isnt it? (I am actually still "ok" with this one)

-F Rogue appear to be superior than Natsu, but another powerup plot device and he beat the main antagonist of the arc? Pls someone tell me how many times does this happen in fairytail? familiar, no?

-and did I mention Natsu beat the final villain and no one die happy ending again?

C'mon, is there any sense of danger in this manga?

Even To love ru would give me much more sense of danger than this manga

The fact that the dragon slayers couldn't defeat any of the dragons was pretty sad. That could have been a great fight

Mod Edit: Removed quote of deleted post.

Well...that escalated quickly lol.

The ending was kinda disappointing.

Anyways, I can't wait to read all those chapters the new 2 weeks.Damn it, Mashima is working hard now.

I don't mind the dragons being sent back without being defeated because I feel it was an intentional plot point, with Mavis commenting that none of them could defeat a dragon, and all the DSs not being satisfied with their performances. I feel like that'll lead to some development later for the DSs

However, if the author was going to have the dragons appear and do battle with the slayers at all, I'd have liked to see more of it before they left. Besides Natsu versus Motherglare, none of the other fights were really shown. I'd have really liked to see more of those

Dance Tournament sounds weird for the next chapter, but I won't be surprised if it's exactly what it sounds like. The two chapters after that though, can't really guess.
