So the Shadow is not actually Rogue. The shadow is something else. And a year from that point, Frosch will die turning him into evil rogue. How foreboding.

Wasn't a bad chapter, but it wasn't great either.



At least it had a cute ending with future Lucy hugging Natsu. That was nice.

Didn't really understand the last few pages with F!Lucy though. Oh well.



The afterlife. She was reunited with all of her loved ones who died in the bleak future she died for in order to change.



I'm surprised you're the only one who pointed this out. I felt so bad for Future Lucy and future Fairy Tail, since they all had died. Seeing them all in the afterlife like that but still happy brought some manly tears. Really hoping the author doesn't plan an actual ending to the series around a similar concept :/

I acutally think there's more to come. This battle endet ..way too fast. I don't think that's it.

Maybe he'll surprise us pretty much :p .. he barely let us down.. at least not in my optinion. (:

Whoa and just like that the arc is finished? Well, in a way, it is considered a victory I guess but not by technical terms. I'll look forward to what's next but damn, those dragons sure are tough.



And oh ya, nice Lucy x Natsu moment there.

Here something did change they destroyed the gate in the present, which change its existence in the future, so in the future they are either doomed or since the gate was destoryed dragons were not able to wreck havoc on future lucys time, only unknown is future Shadow dudes time where not much was even known so i  don't even want to guess.

What I was trying to say is that Hiro chose a mix of the two timetravel theories. Which just doesnt work.



So this is what happened (look at the start of chapter 333 where it is kinda explained):

future 1:

the gate gets opened and the world is destroyed by the 10000 dragons.

Lucy returns back to change the past. Which leads to either future lucy or past lucy (probably future lucy) to close the gate.

This creates:



future 2:

the world is now ruled by acnologia. From this timeline future rogue returns and tries to open the gate to get control over the dragons.



back to the present time:

they now destroy the gate which should create a third timeline.

which doesn´t happen though. Hiro now just takes another time travle theory.

The action of destroying the gate negates everything that happened in the 2nd timeline.

But since the future can be changed then the 1st future of the 10000 dragons ruling the earth would have been gone as soon as the 2nd timeline was created. Therefore future Lucy could not have returned into the present.

And her death would also never had happened which makes the end of this chapter even more illogical as it already is (if that is even possible).





I am really not good at explaining this xD

So in short: you either have a time travel theory where different timelines are possible once you change the past, or you go with the other theory where once the past is changed the future formes according to the past and there will always only be one timeline.



Seems to make sense to me. Alhough it may be more of a loop. They destroy the gate which prevents rogue and future lucy from going back in time which causes the original time line(s) to come back which brings back rogue and lucy which causes this fight to happen again and so on and so forth.



This is generally the problem with changing the past causing to reform the future rather than making another timeline. And it gets even worse when you mix the two together XD





IMO the time travel arc started off well with plenty of potential and just slowly degraded. Maybe Hiro can still  save it. I guess we'll see in the next six chapters.
