Glad that Gray didn't die there, though Ultear's action is somewhat predictable. I sorta laughed when she said "My life is only worth 1 minute?" XD Anyway, RIP Ultear, your mum shall be very proud of you. =)

Hope the next chapter will be more exciting!

this chapter was awesome in one word.

A long time passed since one of FT chapters moved me so much as this one. Everything was just the way it had to be. I'm pleased

That moment of dispair when Ultear dies full of regret, seeing as she didn't achieve anything with her life, yet everything changed. From her perspective and all that, it was great psychological development of ones character, also the reverse we got after the cliffhanger that Grey died last chapter was resolved in a great way...This way, everything could be done with only 1 min of backtracking time, and not repeating the whole time travel thing/going back to the beginning of the arc or even further, and forming a loop that would complicate everything even further. Now, time won't stand still and it can go the straight path Jellal showed between the 2 futures that were brought to us as possibilites (F Rogue and F Lucy), it is literally the minute that made the rail turn the train we're on into a different future.

No.

Way to kill the mood.

Any ways, fair enough. No one is forcing you, but there are people who might want to, right?

I posted my feelings in a legit way since I felt like I didn't get them down properly, and I got the club out there again; 2 targets, one shot.

Good day.

meh not even sure if ultear even died. it's possible she hasn't mastered the spell since she was told not to by hades before, so was only able to reverse time by a minute and thus not use her all of her own time, but nonetheless exhaust herself. i'd say it's very much within the realm of FT possibility.

I'm sort of pissed that Ultear died, she was one of my favourite characters. I wanted to see so much more of her. I wonder how Meredy will react.

You're content with a MC basically walking into a bar, having a drink, then BAM BAM BAM, getting killed by fodder dragon offspring? Out of nowhere . . . ?

That's what Gray's death would've been, getting shot up by fodder dragon offspring out of nowhere in the last 3-4 pages of a chapter. Not even killed by some kind of boss, or someone the other characters could direct their anger at, but by fodder.

Don't know about you, but I'd be more upset over the absurdity of a main character being killed off in that fashion, than the logical - story based way Ultear was 'killed' off.

I have to agree with this. For all the complaints of his death being reversed, I actually would have been more bothered if a main character died so cheaply. Natsu is off stomping actual dragons, and Gray gets done in by some unnamed fodder. No thanks. And I did like how Ultear's death only brought back a minute. The spell itself is ridiculous to begin with, but it could have been handled much worse. At least they gave it a bit of an explanation, and made it far weaker than it could have been.

Though I wish they fit in some Juvia rage before time was brought back a minute. Oh well.

It doesn't change anything for the bad guys. They would see themselves killing their targets. And so still go through with the attack since it would look like it would connect.

This too. The more I think about this, the more I'm fine with it all. They killed off a relatively important character (I think, I'm behind and all) for only a minute of time, and used the minute exceptionally well. I've had my gripes with this manga/anime in the past, but this is not one of them.

Wow, Death is so pointless in this manga. Just one deus ex machina after another.

If you don't have the balls to kill off one of your characters for good and you don't want to take your manga seriously, then why should any of us?
