what do you mean sacrifice natsu?  if natsu died there wouldn't be a point to even continue ft (Unless you count Lucy but it wouldn't last long)  

I agree with you that Ultear is an up to date developed character but it makes sense for Ultear to sacrifice herself for gray since gray and Ultear share a past and Ur (Ultears mother who was Lyon and Grays Teacher) did that for gray and lyon.

My prediction for future chapters is other characters die as well, but Ultear, who know feels like she has sinned, will use her Time magic to "heal"/repair all those characters that died, but because at the cost of her own life. Therefore, in the end, all the characters that have died will have reincarnated, but Ultear will have died.

what the hell did i miss, this death had no build up it just happened randomly, that is some shoddy writing.

I seriously hope Juvia goes apeshit, that would be freaking awesome.



If Gray has died its only so he can be brought back to life (by Ultear supposedly) but still holy shit, dont just ambush my favorite character like that.

Oh please, no chance in hell Gray is actually dead. This is Mashima we're talking about, he's a bigger troll then Kubo in my eyes now. I'm willing to bet that despite all the promises about serious consequences and a darker turn, absolutely no one in Fairy Tail is going to suffer any lasting harm. Maybe Ultear will die, but even in that case she's probably going to sacrifice herself in some way and then "miraculously" survive somehow, now completely redeemed.



I really do hope I'm wrong and Mashima has finally grown some balls, but I have no reason to have faith in him anymore.
