Fairy Tail Chapter 315 Discussion

Basic chapter.

Yep, just basic.

That was at least within my original prediction before the 'blood' bit at the end of last chapter. Erza gets injured saving Kagura, then Minerva takes out both Kagura and Erza, except that Erza has a little chance of surviving this battle and going to the final battle. But I'd like my predictions to be right in term of battle outcomes sometimes. Poor Kagura D;

I was expecting something more epic from Erza vs Kagura fight, and this obvious final "I cannot die because Simon saved me, because my friends saved me, because *surprise!* I saved you too in the past and I've saved you now, and I am the good girl who sacrifice herself everytime and is going to protect everyone and get revenge for you, crushing Minerva and kicking her ass a thousand hundred times" .___. .... yeah I was saying that this obvious final let me with a bitter taste in my mouth.



But now we know Erza is going to kick Minerva's ass and that makes me happy :D lol or maybe Gerard knows that Erza is going to be defeated and that is the reason why he's so doubtful?!



The apocalipse is almost here, so please Mashima, don't troll us again!

Me:  *Sees setting for an awesome sword fight.*

Mashima:  "No, no, I don't think so." *insert troll face*

Me:  "NOOOOOO, god dam it, another troll fight!  I wanted to see an awesome fight with epicness!!!!"

Mashima:  "Too bad, you should have learned your lesson from the past 314 chapters."

Me:  *smh* "So, disappointed with this chapter.  What a let down.  Minerva comes in and takes advantage at the end too.  Saw that coming a mile away.  Past few chs have been meh, Mashima."

Mashima:  "I don't care what you think.  I am still raking in the money and the manga is still going strong."

Me:  "...."

I agree with you. One of the points about this manga is nakama power, not that the strongest win. But that you have to win for the sake of your friends. The righteous will win etc. Since if a main character of FT loses, the fate of their friends are sealed. Some people seem to be reading the wrong manga, that it seems.


like in rurouni Kenshin, Yahiko learns that he cannot lose, since he uses his sword to protect others. If he loses, he would not only lose his life, but the person he tries to protect will die too. Same kind of thing for FT.

Disappointed with the first part of the chapter, the  battle part that is. So obvious, so rushed...not even bothered to deepen in. Kagura dominates Erza like hell, in the end Erza wins without her armor and with Kagura's sword drawn out, also ackowledging Kagura's hate feelings.

Of all the predictions the most predictable one takes place, with the last panel of the last chapter (the blood thingy) lost like it never happened. Well, I can understand it although I don't like it. If things were to get complicated here, it would be kinda hard to get out of the storyline deepshit that would develop in that moment.



I liked the second part though. Now we srsly know EVERYTHING there is to Erza, even before the ToH. The Rosemary revelation was okay, and I like the link between Kagura and Erza and look forward to their future interractions.

EDIT: Yeah, we don't know Erza's parents yet. Or step ones. I hope we won't, that would seem to me like too much of an ass-pull. Now that we know all of Erza, and she's overpowered with her magic "The knight" and strongest technique "no armor although my magic is armor requipment", I would like her to either become the next Master (which is obviously Laxus position, so no), or be placed in second perpective, like Gildarts...let her go to 100 year quests or something. Tartaros would have to be godlike if they want to defeat anyone from FT now it seems...



Secondly, I didn't comment Minerva. As this fight is in my eyes considered one of the biggest ass-pulls in the story (not that I hate, but I'm just disappointed it ended so...plain), I would like Mashima to refrain himself from letting Erza beat Minerva with such wounds and a near-death experience.

Even Kagura admitted defeat before the rocks fell on her. She pulled her sword and was insta slashed by Erza, it was a clear victory, only she didn't faint. It was pretty obvious the way she clashed that one last time it's over for her. People are complaining for a reason, if you don't understand it it's your ignorance. The world is not fun if everyone has the same opinions and prefers the same things you do, and you don't have to feel obliged to answer every "complaining" people make here.



And Erza strongest weapon isn't her full atk sword like you said vs. Azuma, because she couldn't finish him with that, he just root her in place. She finished him with a whole island power up that came through the emotions of every FT member there. If you want some kind of explanation, it's a massive agility boost, going without armor. Same here, the key to victory was in her psychology, not in her sword.



Well, that's just the way I see it. I can understand why people loved this chapter, and why they didn't tho. I respect both views.



Yeah i may have refrased it badly, Just cuz she couldn't finish him doesn't mean its not her strongest offensive skill,she put all of her armours powers into the sword to make the stongest attack she could do with her own power at the moment (why take of her protection otherwise), she did need help from the island but that not part of her everyday power. and the emotional power up is ofcourse the reason for their durability and power ups but im talking as pure skill not what happens in the midst of battle cuz that changes everytime.



and as you said i do understand peoples dissapointment even if i don't feel it myself and i admit to writing a bit without thinking :P



I'm not sure about what she was about to say before the rocks fell, she said, I.. I.. (then rocks came down) but this fight was only sort of a build up to the next fight right? so the epicness will hopefully come but Kagura can't help and thats too bad cuz i really started to like her.

God damnit really after the great last chapter of Erza getting shit on we Get this..



but like people thought  Minerva came in and did some dirty stuff.
