The Erza vs Kagura fight was too short.. T_T It ended too quickly. But Erza always says the best lines in this manga IMO. b''d

I am dissappointed... Not only no one died (Erza or Kagura or whoever else), it turned out that the superduper powerful sword of Kagura at which everyone was "OH MY GAWD, SHE'S SERIOUS" etc was utterly useless... lol

And in the end, Minerva, so "evil and shit", couldn't even deal her a fatal blow, just piercing her side... I'm dissappointed to the point of being annoyed.

It's to be expected, though... I said it myself about the previous chapter, that no one dies in Fairy Tail manga...

Rephrase that no one in the guild of FT dies in the Fairy Tail Manga. Some bad guys die, e.g. Purehito, Zancrow, and Zoldeo. And some good guys die, e.g. Simon, Rob, Ur, and Jude. All these are a few examples but notice how the first two died protecting Erza, she is really basically on her third lifeline. And the other two are connected to the Main FT Group. Whilst there are others who disappear indefinitely, e.g. Azuma and Mystogan. Two of my favourite FT characters outside the FT guild.

IMO even if Erza has not broken her legs/feet saving Kagura, she wouldn't have beaten Minerva in her condition after the Kagura fight. Most likely Mashima gave Erza a broken foot as an excuse for her loss/(draw) against Minerva most likely loss. Minerva won't die, and Erza won't kill someone as in FT, life is precious. After the previous chapter, I did not expect either Erza to die because it doesn't fit with FT's other 313 chapters, and for that reason neither Kagura because Kagura's quite cool and had little time in FT if she did. However I would have liked something like Millianna get slashed although that might also be predictable as Erza winning, it would have been more cruel and added another twist to it. But the chapter ended fine imo. As I said before, having something too unpredictable for me will ruin the previous chapter of the manga, actually my whole reading of the manga. I believe in consistency of characters' character throughout the manga, Erza killing Minerva would be considered a U-turn and so would Erza letting herself get killed by Kagura. Mashima really only had three options, Erza and Kagura to suddenly get taken out by Minerva, Erza 'beating' Kagura, or putting Millianna in the path of Kagura's blade. However I just notice a flaw of the latter idea, first that it would screw up the points by one point and change the whole storyline to a parallel direction, and secondly that Minerva is a cold-calculating b*tch, her plan is to win through getting the best out of the points available while causing the most pain. Getting rid of Millianna by Kagura's sword would be very cruel but she would lose the point as well as Kagura and Erza will both go berserk and take her out which isn't such a great idea. Thus ends my thoughts on the chapter.
