Gazeel beat them in the end, no it's not nuff said cuz nummbers do make a difference. One on One Gazeel has a definite spec advantage that you didn't give any counter arguements for :)

Laxus: Here is what happened: 1)Laxus vs Natsu->Natsu barely touched Laxus->Gazeel enters->Equal battle->Failed Fairy Law->Laxus attacks again->Gazeel takes the bullet for Natsu which gives him the oppening for the grand finale.2v1 all the way to the end.



Ultear losing focus makes her weak-willed, similar to Natsu's official defeat against Gildarts

This was better than most chapters of late, Mashima may have some room for redemption after creating terrible villains and pulling out the friendship power ten times too many.

Now THIS is a quality chapter.



It's been a long time since we had a three-way battle and it fell right into the speculations of past threads.

More teasing and foreshadowing concerning the Dragon fest and the EP. Hopefully Hiro will pull something good otherwise it will all go down as the greatest letdown of this manga.

^ dis. I can't see why people tend to underestimate Ultear so much..



Btw, I feel like a slowpoke noticing just now (or remembering since someone had to mention it, but I completely forgot) the fact that Layla Heartfilia died on year 777 just when the dragons dissapeared. So I guess Lucy is destined from the start to be in FT, opening gates bla bla we found out this arc almost everything about it (will find out)...but considering everything, it's still plausible that the one handed woman is actually Layla..



OR ULTEAR WITH HER TIME ARC SO EVOLVED SHE  USED EVERYTHING TO GO BACK TO TIME...or send someone back to time since only her magic can do it (well, the eclipse gateway can..but if it needs so much magic energy just for one trip, I imagine it hard gathering in the future for another...)

All of Erza's armors and weapons are real. Equip magic only summons those armors and weapons from her stockpile to her.



It's basically teleportation of items.
