Also why are people thinking that it's impossible to survive lava like that? I mean this is Fairy Tail level of durability when it comes to plot hax, nothing really new here.

Topic - [Off]

Well as far as the general power of lava across multiple manga and anime, etc, then almost no one should be able to survive that. I mean FT characters are far below One Piece characters in terms of durability, but yet in OP, lava/magma was able to kill someone who was MADE of fire. Two different universes so this is pointless, but I guess that's why I was just shocked by it.

There are several ways to argue against this:

1. The lava is created by magic, not real lava, hence not as powerful. This pretty much applies to everything in FT really. The black hole that Gildartz crashed is nowhere near a real black hole (or the story would have ended at that time), it's just a stronger magic overpowered a weaker one. Stronger fire mage creates stronger flame, stronger ice mage creates stronger ice when they are both... ice. Hell Gray was able to freeze flame which is impossible with physic. Can give tons of other examples here (Laxus' lightning. Sting's laser breath, etc). Additionally, seeing this lava is only a branch spell of Tai's Terrain magic, it being weaker is nothing surprising. I can see this is the reason why most of Mashima's manga revolves around magic, because it's quite easy to avoid plotholes/ law of physics by simply using "It's fucking magic, duh"!

2. There is still a possibility that Arcadios is a very powerful mage, yet want to hide his power (to bait Lucy for the Eclipse plan, etc). And we all know that all high tier mages of this series have extremely high durability (probably because of the magic boost), this combines with the first one making him being able to survive in the lava become quite natural.

Here I thought that Arcadios died but guess what, Horologium saved him, it's just like that one time with Wendy.

Time for the twelve keys to show their combined power.

Oh yea  cause Yukino did so much? Take your bias and shove it.

You're joking right?

No I am not. If he's going to hate on a character for being useless in the chapter then he should hate ALL of the similarly useless characters. He focused on Lucy therefore I called him out on his bullshit bias.

was a 5/5 until the clock saved the knight guy. that was such a crap way to ruin someone's heroic sacrifice.  really wish mashima wld bring back his no mercy thing he had going in Rave Master where people actually died.

simon is the only good guy to die so far, correct?

disapointed as i was really liking the chapter up till that dumb clock popped up.

bout time loke showed up :)

By the way if anyone doesn't mind this is the Official Fairy Tail 2013 Calender by Mashima (or we just need a fan art thread in general so that I can update all the pics from Hiro Twitter and such):

Since many people are talking about Arcadeous, i still have doubt about this guy. Probably author gonna quick one on us last min or somthing.

Anyone else trusting him already?

Well, he did jump into lava to save them and tell them to make their own decision. I don't think he would let himself die if it meant his plan would fail if he had evil intent. Who knows though, it's a bit early to find out. I mean I wouldn't say in this matter is really a good or bad side. Since one side is like "we shouldn't change history." for the sake of not messing with the past and possible risks that come with it while the other side wants to change history, but to hopefully better the world. It's a tough decision for anyone.

Anyways, great to see Loki jump in and now they assembled all of the 12 keys and of course Natsu is a badass grabbing the scythe bare-handed and crushing it. Something tells me these fights may not last as long as I thought they would, unless they all have some sort of trick up their sleeve!

This is the first time, that I can remember, his hair looking so "mane-like". I've always imagined his hair as a mane, but here it looks badass. Well, male lions display their mane's to the female as a show of power, etc. and Loki does have a thing for Lucy after-all.
