The black hole that Gildartz crashed is nowhere near a real black hole (or the story would have ended at that time), it's just a stronger magic overpowered a weaker one. Additionally, seeing this lava is only a branch spell of Tai's Terrain magic, it being weaker is nothing surprising. I can see this is the reason why most of Mashima's manga revolves around magic, because it's quite easy to avoid plotholes/ law of physics by simply using "It's fucking magic, duh"!



2. There is still a possibility that Arcadios is a very powerful mage, yet want to hide his power (to bait Lucy for the Eclipse plan, etc). And we all know that all high tier mages of this series have extremely high durability (probably because of the magic boost), this combines with the first one making him being able to survive in the lava become quite natural.



All good points, and I wasn't saying that there's no way he could survive etc, but just the reason that I was shocked that he did. General consensus on lava is, well, death. And yes, I'm truly hoping for something like #2. Otherwise, his survival is a cop out to me.

I like how it didn't just focus on 1 fight, this may get wrapped up faster than I thought.



Arcadius being a hero caught me off guard.  Right before I could even get sentimental, Horologium saves the day lol.



So now that Loki and all the Celestial Spirit Keys are gathered and Natsu looks about ready, let's send them flying.

Anyways, I was hoping the Hungry Wolves would go rather quick, but it seems they'll be around another chapter or so. Seems like Natsu was just playing with the executioner guy anyway. Get back to the tournament already :(  I really hope there isn't a time lapse with the games showing what happened while Natsu and co. were fighting the hungry wolves. I wanna see all the fights! Well, the good ones anyway.

And when I thought:''Wow Arcadios is going to die while saving them...Hero''and then ...Mashima trolled us again u_u



I am happy to see Loke again :'D



I am hoping that the fights won't take any longer(I give them 2 more chapters,because I want to see Mira and Lucy fighting).And I want to see the games already.

Meh... Arcadios swimming in lava and this same old recycled fight, Natsu splits islands with his raienryuu, this other dude has retarded weapons. I wonder who will win..*yawn*

A few other ones died actually. Uncle Rob died....and I guess Ur/Ul technically counts as someone dead. There a more dead characters when it comes to either the bad guys or not so detailed characters that were only mentioned to have died. But yeah, it would be if interesting if Mashima brought back the blood lust from Rave Master into Fairy Tail.



I miss the times when Haru got his ass kicked and was just about to die and still pushed forward and stuff like that. Even the strongest of enemies in RM were not just "omg the uber powerful impossible to beat one!!", haru was kicking the main villains ass when the story was ½ done.

Not to mention haru&lucia father and other characters, RM was hella good story even if it had cliches here and there.
