Okay, just asking, because I think I missed something. Why is everyone saying Gemma lost? He just got hit by a very powerful attack by Sting, I don't think it was established that he's down for the count, atleast not yet. I could be wrong, but from what I've seen, there could be a chance Gemma will continue fighting with Sting. Yes, the dude has a hole in his chest, but we don't how strong Gemma really is, for all we know, he could have more stamina than Makarov and actually fight with such a wound. (Just in case people question me why I brought in Makarov to the subject, it's because Makarov was still alive with a hole through his chest from Purehito, barely, but still alive. Although, with all this said, any corrections are welcome if I missed something.)

Sabertooth were strong because they had no real competition. That's it. They are not powerhouses. Well Minerva might be but that's it.

Actually that might not be that true.

we do not know how strong current FT members are after the whole timeskip and magic strength stuff. For all we know current Natsu is hades-level or something. Its really impossible to determine current power levels of FT characters unless they face a dragon again.

It has been stated she is Genma's daughter and the way Sting is now I think she would need some proper leverage to calm him down from extracting his rage towards her as well.

Besides, if Lecter is indeed dead then (assuming that Minerva will step  up to the throne) she will lose Sting.....or at least I think so. I mean, with Lecter presumably dead I can clearly see Sting packing up and kissing ST goodbye.

Sting's reaction to her does not matter as long as she is stronger than him

And yeah Sting would leave, unless she manipulates Sting to direct his hate towards Natsu. Which is kind of hard to do with Lector alive. With Lector being dead she can cause Sting to put everything in fulfilling his promise to Lector of defeating Natsu, as well as to make Sting blame Natsu in a way for what happened.

This chapter does seem to be all about setting up motivations for the final competition. And we have at least two if not three match-ups fueled by hate, revenge, etc.

Mhmm interesting...firstly I wonder if Lector is actually dead...still regardless....ST master was proved to be just trash now it seems lol. Surprised Natsu didn't finish him off that one time now lol.

Minerva being STs real master mind sounds plausible as everyone has said. She's clearly up to something it seems though.

We'll find out about dragons finally next week by the looks of it, when Wendy talks to there souls. And about the king of dragons? Which I'm thinking is who ever the victor of the games are.

As for the mystery woman....kind of hoping it's not Lucy from the future anymore...to have a arm missing wonder wtf happened to her o.o

Still I can't wait to see the final brawl....will be epic xD

About Lecter, his death kinda seemed too fast and without any meaning. I'm not talking about the character I'm talking about Hiro himself not giving enough emphasis. I mean , the panels of his death were suspiciously small (remember Shimon, he was pretty much a noone and yet his death was at least half-a-page-panel, while others get double-pages). And then I saw this:

I think Minerva saved Lector because of her wierd abilites (how she teleported or w/e happy from nowhere into her arms) and her aim was just to provoke sting into taking action against that weakling of a Master.

I'm positive that this is the case. Props to you Skia

Funny , how the heck did the cats become members of the guild without the approval of the master LOL.

Wow, Lector possibly dead, Sabretooth master as well. More questions about dragons. and it seems Minerva is up to something because she was happy after what Sting did...

I'm guessing Minerva is the true master behind that guild. That's the impression i got from when she interrupted the fight between Natsu and Gemma.

Just gonna throw this out there, Minerva is the real leader of Sabertooth. The old shitty bastard was just a fake front.

I agree with this theory. Either that or at some point she completely surpassed the guy and just humored him for amusement.

Yeah i see am not alone thinking like this. Very big chance she was just humoring him for the hell of it while pulling the strings from behind. Maybe she was just using him because she didn't want to play officially the role of the master. The guy was probably too weak to even realize that his top subordinates are actually quite stronger than him.

Also, this (look at their mouths):

Not that I disagree with her being Lucy but I don't think that this pic is really a hint...... I mean it's just the way Hiro draws a sad girl's mouth.....

people are posting about it being lucy because she was crying watching natsu's fight, and because levy was writing to her. but levy could've been writing like lucy was to her dead mother, just writing a letter for closure or somet. and tbh it could be any female that knows natsu and to give jellal that much of a shock it might've been erza, and people could find out about the eclipse plan, for all we know it could be broadcast across the whole city in the next couple of chapters, highly unlikely but it could still happen :P
