I agree with this theory. Either that or at some point she completely surpassed the guy and just humored him for amusement.

Anything is 'plausible' but her being Lucy is still the most likely. There's no reason for the hooded girl to cry while watching Natsu's first debut match unless she was someone close to him (which significantly lowers the chances of it being Lucy's mom).

But I just want to post 2 another examples of not needing to be the strongest wizard. That I can think of.

Laxus is way stronger than them, yet, he still had others in mind.



During the 7 blank years.

Makao was the leader, but there were still (presumably) wizards above him.

Wakabe beat him in the Fatasia-arc

Max was on holding his own against Pre-Second Origin Natsu.

did anyone else notice that the hooded girl is wearing sandals? i've never seen lucy wear sandals, she usually wearing knee high boots. which makes me think its not lucy  but maybe lisanna?

We get it, you (animefan12blast) think it's Layla, Lucy's mom.  It's actually a plausible idea, let's wait and see.
