This is stupid, i dont read manga for fucking fillers >.> I watch ANIME for fillers...

I was wondering what was up with such a fast translation....

Well it was decent still.

That chapter didn't need words for you to know what happened, and what Gildart was probably saying.  I laughed.

they should have actual chapters relevant to the story and have the fillers as a special bonus chapter. wasted week.

Extended no-dialogue sequences where the story is told only through the art are hardly new. Frank Miller was doing it 30 years ago in Daredevil, and he was inspired by manga before him like Lone Wolf & Cub.

Thumbs up for this one so that fanboys can see. Last time people were qqing about Kishi copying Togashi now Hiro is copying Kishi. Kk.

Fun fact: The silent chapter in Naruto was not an original and creative idea, someone in the same magazine made a silent chapter at the beginning of this year, and Kishi has been copying "inspired" by that guy's manga since Naruto's first chapter.

Obviously I was joking and obviously there have been other chaps like these in many other manga. I was just commenting on the fact they were so close next to each other. Who'd think what Kishi did was original? xD

Would a 2week break be better? These are not "filler chapters". If it wasn't for these kind of chapters people would complain how the manga lacks character development. I see no wrong in taking a break from the continuous battles and showing a little bit of FT's "life".

1-Obviously Hiro did that to make the 300 special.

2-Considering the imminent calamity that has been forshadowed I think that some chapter intended for emotional-attachment are good to have.

"It's manga" doesn't mean "all we need is a plot"

Are you saying those 2 chaps developed the charas? PLEASE. One was pure fanservice and the other was cute. We already knew how the guild behaves (and it's the same every single time so where's the originality and development?) and how Gildarts adores Kana. Sure, I accept that he did it for the 300th special chapter but these were fillers, yes. Other manga have such anniversaries but they time it better so they won't need such irrelevant chapters. Which was my point. And yes, I expect a plot in a manga except if they are extra chapters and these weren't. They were put in the middle of something big. I just don't like that.

I used a wrong phrase. Not character "development". I indeed was wrong there.

But you didn't answer my 2, and casual breaks between battles are not new or bad.

Well I think it was better than the fan service chapter. Next week it goes back to the story~

I really liked this.  It was a change of pace and covered the only member of FT not present at the tournament in a fun and light-hearted way.  It showed us that he knows what's going on with his guild, that he's a boss, and still playing his cards right, or not lol.

Anyway, I really enjoyed these side-stories, but as everyone is saying, it's time to get back on track.  Let's see if Mashima can live up to his Rave Master with this.  Let's see how he handles the coming events.  After the big free for all of course :).
