The natives dying of a disease so conflict will become even less likely? Shock!! Everyone being against and even punching the only person here with any sense? Shock!

This author has really shown his lack of strong writing this arc, it's always been there since farmland saga, but never obvious in the way it is now. My rating of the manga goes down yet again. The fact you thought the conflict will be less from the way the chapter literally told you AND even showed u the end of the page shows you couldn't understand the whole theme of the whole series let alone what the whole message of the arc itself Mate, Yukimura's writing has been all over the place this arc. There's no theme and message I could miss, I just disagree with and don't like all of it. Yukimura will attempt to write this in a way that will have the least violence possible surrounding Thorfinn, come back to this post.

My guy, the natives dying from this disease serves as a catalyst for conflict...My guy, have you even read this arc? The author will 100% not have this resolve with conflict, he even admitted that he hates violence, and was glad that it's over. Judging by how bad his writing has been lately, nothing will change. My guy, did you even read the chapter?? He was punched because he was happy the natives were dying of the disease they brought aka being an a*hole.

The punch was not deserved. The natives are a hindrance!!!

Lots of advancement on the natives in this chapter. Disease is plaguing the place that's supposed to be the one truly peaceful place, fits right in with the themes of the series from the start

I know that historically it didn't really end well for Thorfinn but I am curious to see how he overcomes it in the manga.

The author has made statements about the ending of the series and how he’s conflicted with how he wants to end it so there’s no indication if it’s going to be historically accurate or if he’ll take creative liberty to give Thorfinn the happy ending he deserves.

The author will 100% not have this resolve with conflict, he even admitted that he hates violence, and was glad that it's over. Judging by how bad his writing has been lately, nothing will change. There has been conflict in literally every arc of Vinland. And it is clear this will lead to conflict since there's no way to stop the natives from starting a war now that they blame the nords for the death of hundreds of their own. The author hating violence means violence is a necessary theme in order to portray his ideals and message through this fictional story. Season 1 had plenty of violence if you don't remember, and the author hated violence just as much back then too bud. You literally haven't been able to grasp anything from this story, which explains your mindless hate on the main message of the series.Yeah, Yukimura always hated/disliked violence, ever since The Prologue.

The main theme is- how to confront Violence, Violence in general, Anti-Violence/War, and many more stuff.

Vinland's failure (The settlement) will be because of multiple reasons

1. Miscommunication

2. Fear and Anxiety- of the unknown

3. Hild and The Shaman+ Ivar

4. The disease/Rats/Epidemic

5. The settlers themselves- some of them.

"Rats on a ship are good luck"  Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaah about that.  Desperately wondering which route the ending is going to take.

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t worried about the direction the story is going.

The stakes are definitely getting higher though.
