Vinland Saga Chapter 115 Discussion

Another good chapter, this arc is promising.

You guys, I don't think we read about this thing with the hunter's father anywhere... It's like one of Thorfinn's extra adventures not related to the storyline we were following (It's not like we need to know exactly everything that Thorfinn did while in Askeladd's band.).

She wont shoot, most likely there will be combat simply because it's interesting and it keeps the readers interested :P

With that said, I hope the situation gets resolved in a more creative way than "Thorfinn talks his way out of it", I feel like it'd be a cop-out since Hild doesn't look like the sort of person to be swayed by rhetoric and talks of peace. Plus, any "don't follow the path of vengeance" speeches from Thorfinn will sound like a hollow attempt to save his life without being forced into the awkward position of defending himself.



I like the parallels between Thorfinn's and Hild's stories. I hope she sticks around. Vinland Saga could use a compelling secondary character, since most of his companions don't seem like his equals, but rather like tagalong sidekicks following the fascinating main character while trying to find themselves. Hild is clearly Thorfinn's equal.



Gah. And now we play the waiting game... I wish the chapters were like, 100 pages long each.

That was quite a good chapter. The art is amazing. Damn those cliffhangers though.

thorfinn finally facing some repercussions for his actions during his time of vengeance... really good writing for his character

Brilliant chapter. I wonder if Thorfinn will have to fight again, or if she will choose to spare his life in return for joining their trip or something like that. The next chapter should be great too.

Ooh shit, Thorfinn's past is haunting him.

It really is. If Thorfinn started killing people again, I'd grow to love it once more.
