Raws are out.
As he spams punches at Thorfinn, Drott feels like something is wrong and that Thorfinn's body is like something flexible whenever his fist connects with it. Ulf on the other hand realizes Thorfinn's trick to minimize the impact of Drott's hits and wonders for how long he could keep it up. Einar becomes worried that getting hit and bearing it will be Thorfinn's way of life from there on out.
Snake shows up with Orman and tries to stop the fight, causing Thorfinn to drop his guard and for Drott's fist to completely connect. Despite Snake's attempts to dissuade him, Thorfinn stands up, addresses Drott with ”temee”–which is the rudest way to address someone in Japanese, says that Drott's hits felt nothing more than a bug's sting and tells him to continue hitting him from where he left off before Snake showed up.
The chapter skips to where Thorfinn receives the 100th hit, causing Orman to cry manly tears and Drott to acknowledge his strength. Ulf comes forward and asks Thorfinn why he chose to endure the 100 hits bet instead of hitting Drott from the start to prove that he used to work for Canute. Thorfinn answers that he came to peacefully negotiate with them and doesn't see them as enemies. Ulf finally allows him an audience with Canute and mentions that Canute is the kind of man who would prevent war if given the choice and that he might lend an ear to Thorfinn, which Thorfinn reacts to with staring silently at Ulf, indicating that he knew Canute's true nature. In a show of respect for Thorfinn all the vikings make way for him and Einar to meet Canute. Next chapter: Thorfinn vs Canute. The two great men/rivals finally face to face.
Ouch, Thorfinn O_o and man, next chapter can't come any sooner. Yukimura–sensei: don't you dare take a break next month.
