Glad this disturbance was finally resolved. After two tomes.
3/5
Volume 12
Well, I don't mind what the author is trying to do. I couldn't care less about the larger themes but they were there from the beginning so it's good to see the series is coherent there.
The thing is, getting all those mini intrigues is annoyingly reminiscent of reading a manga's early chapters where the author has no clue of the larger intrigue he will create so he simply wanders around, putting short story after short story to fill his weekly/monthly obligations. After a VERY long 9 volumes prologue, getting more "sub-prologues" will rapidly test my patience (something that should need no prove).
Score: 5/10
Enjoyment: 2/5

Aah, right in the kokoro.
XD Does this mean that you were touched by those pages or is it about the Snake's sword hit ?
@FMmatron Ahah, I actually like episodic manga/series too. The problem here (and there) is that they aren't : a large (and long) intrigue is kickstarted before being dropped in the background (saying this is being rather nice) and every small excuse is enough to completely freeze the whole "adventure".
Also, I think I gave a lot of time (even though it was mainly in anime form as episodes bulks saturday and sunday morning) to One Piece for it to have a fair chance to convince me, thanks to my little brother getting fed up far later than me. (since I had to play the german to french interpreter).
(Additionally, I don't dislike it.)
