I liked it, alot. There's a friendship growing between the two that I think will have a major role to play in the rest of this story.

Ugh, I'm just waiting on some plot progression. We get it already, he's depressed and lost his whole life's purpose of killing Ashey. But now that we see he's made a friend and such and realized he still wants to live, now there should be some plot progression.

It was short, but a fun read.

The guy sitting on top of the huge haystack on the second page was a bit random, lol.

After the revealing stuff from last chapter, reading this chapter was bit of a letdown.  I was hoping for a bit more.  But, ah well, still a good chapter in its own right I suppose.

I wonder if the mangaka put Einar into the story just to kill him off later on.

The fact that there wasn't any fight in this chapter doesn't means it was needless or less good chapter.

Personally, I love the character development of Thorfinn.

I can see that happening. Y'know, he's known war his whole life and now he knows peace, that kind of plot being introduced. But I hope not, I'd like to see him fight some more--maybe the area in which they are will get raided or something and we'll see some action?

"Thanks, Einar..."

"God, you're slow!!!"

That was pretty cute, I'm kind of 'eh' on Einar as a character but I really like his interactions with Thorfinn.

I hear people complaining a lot about this part of the story ("Farmland Saga"), but  I think it must be more tolerable when you're not taking it on during publication, like with the "boat" part of Berserk.

I really hope this is just character development for new characters, cause I started this manga for action and I hope that he won't turn into someone like kenshin, swearing off killing...

Characters like Kenshin and Vash prove that you can still be a badass action manga protagonist while also not killing. Honestly, I kind of like action scenes with those kinds of characters since they have to think of more creative ways to defeat their enemies.

This might come as a shock to you, but what you just described...is plot progression.

Not really. It's idle character development--not really plot. But since the whole story is about him and his encounters, I guess it does technically count as plot in this case =.=

lmao we're friends now, what? But overall not the most needed chapter but as said better than nothing.
