How did I end up here? The last thing I remember was falling asleep after finishing the book: Trials of Love. How did I become Camilla, the villainess who shares my name?
Our protagonist, Camilla, was once a very outgoing individual with numerous friends and was well-liked in her social circles. However, after her parents' tragic death, she was placed under the care of her uncle and aunt. Gradually, she distanced herself from her friends, believing she didn't deserve happiness. She blamed herself for her parents' deaths, thinking that she was the cause. Her parents died in a car accident while rushing to the hospital where she was being treated. On that fateful morning, she had accidentally burned her hand during a food technology class and was rushed to the hospital. Upon hearing this, her parents hurried to her side but unfortunately met with an accident on the way.
The only solace that brought her joy was a book her parents left her: Trials of Love. It narrates the story of Damian, a young boy who rose from poverty to become the grand duke of the Thedo empire, named after its first king. Damian fell in love with Eveline, the youngest daughter of his housekeeper. They faced numerous trials before achieving their happy ending. Of course, there was always a villainess trying to sabotage their happiness. Little did anyone expect that our heroine would transmigrate into the role of the villainess—the character she despised most. Camilla Rose Avery was the lost daughter of the current King and Queen, stolen by a maid when she was just a year old. She was discovered by her older brother during one of his royal visits to an orphanage. Her love for Damian drove her to attempt to harm Eveline, leading to her banishment to the eastern empire when Damian became the grand duke. He married Eveline, and the story concluded.
Ella transmigrates into Camilla's body. But there's still time to change things. She resolves to be kind to Damian, hoping he'll remember her kindness in the future. Determined to alter her destiny, she tries hard not to fall for Damian. Yet, the storyline seems to be shifting. Why is the male lead now chasing after the villainess?
