The Villain is Happy Being a Father

Despite the mostly positive reviews that initially drew me to this novel, I found myself deeply disappointed with the story. It’s a shame because I had high hopes for this book, but I’ve decided to stop reading it.

The core concept the author aimed for was genuinely intriguing, but the execution of the plot, script, and writing fell short. Here are some of the issues I encountered:

1. The overall writing and vocabulary were often confusing. (I’m not sure if this is due to the author or the translator.) While you can generally grasp what’s happening in each chapter, the specific details are muddled and hard to follow.
2. When new key elements are introduced to the plot, such as "The Uncle System," the author fails to provide a clear explanation for their inclusion. Additionally, the background of the main characters is not well-developed; any information given is scattered throughout random chapters.
3. For example, when the Female Lead (FL), a young girl, is tasked with choosing a new "father," the author doesn’t explain how she decides on Lou. The FL repeatedly states that Lou is the father she remembers, but it’s never made clear why she believes this. Moreover, the purpose of "The Uncle System" and its role in helping the FL find a new "father" are left unexplained. Was the FL a transmigrator? Did she reincarnate? Time travel? These crucial points should have been clarified in the first few chapters.
4. I was also somewhat disappointed with the Male Lead (ML). While I appreciated his portrayal as a tsundere "bad boy," his character development felt incomplete.

I do like the idea of a Father-Daughter duo at the heart of the story, but I believe it could have been executed more effectively and coherently.

MC was supposed to be the protagonist who saved the world in her own [original] world but somehow [because of abuses she received] had become the 'villain' [Actually, she didn't do any bad thing; just instead of saving a bunch of people who hated her for what she didn't do, she died]. All of these resulted in the world not being saved and destroyed. So, the organization that Uncle System worked for wanted to save this world and decided to search for a qualified parent for MC through 3000 worlds, a parent that could teach MC to love the world, and the dads are the result of this search, which shocked the organization because they are all villains!! How can they care and give warmth to MC?

In the end, they still executed this plan, but before going through the world, Uncle System hypnotized MC into thinking she had a dear daddy and is traveling to find him, which she didn't. The dad that she saw was a three-year-old abused child's wish. MC lived a complete life in each world, and after that, the System deleted all her memory, returning her mentality and memory to the three-year-old she was in the real world. So, for MC, each world is the first world she travels, and that's why even if she was shown as an adult in the previous arc, she's again a baby in the next arc.

MC's mother is an actress who wanted to climb into a rich family by having a child [son], but it didn't work, so she abused MC, thinking it all happened because she was a girl, while the truth is the man [MC's biological father] just didn't care about the actress and the child.

The mother abandoned MC, leaving a three-year-old to take care of herself, but later returned, selling MC to her biological father. MC lived as a servant in that house and had to donate her blood, despite her young body, to her half-sister who had heart disease. Later, when MC was on the operating table and they wanted to dig out her heart, she ran away.

She later joined a lab [She had lots of medical knowledge as the housekeeper of her father's house gave her books without knowing what they were, and MC was self-taught], and her teacher made a virus which brought up the zombies and apocalypse but framed MC for being the culprit.

All the world hated MC, but she saved the world, and without her name being cleared, she was killed by the same people she desperately tried to save. The above was the ending that was supposed to happen, but the 'villain' MC died without leaving the formula to destroy the virus behind.

The ending of this book is MC having gone through all the worlds, and then Uncle System saying that she can make a wish. At first, MC says she wants to always be with her daddy, but then changes it, saying that she wants to give her wish to her dad, which Uncle System accepts.

Fun thing is that the dads also all want to be with their daughter, so the story of the sequel continues. Big guys trying to rub their daughter and go where no other dad is in sight, and the melon-eating crowd being confused as to who Yinyin's father is and how many fathers Yinyin has. A true fun read.

A child's soul transmigrates into other children's bodies to search for her father's soul. This is not a case of an adult mind trapped in a child's body.

Haha, right after reading this, I went straight to MTL, and everything is just so fluffy???! (✿‿✿) I give it a 10/10 recommendation to everyone; I guarantee that you will honestly only be hungry for more!

Super cute fluffy fic so far! The premise is essentially a villain reformation system getting paired up with a three-year-old. (Which, by the way, feels a bit like child labor—what's up with that?) However, the system is a good guy and does its best to make the world as easy as possible for the child.

From what I understand, the child’s father has multiple reincarnations, all of whom are villains. The main character (MC), who is a baby, will prevent these reincarnations from turning evil using the power of cuteness. That’s the gist of it—super cute.

The story features a genuine three-year-old’s soul, so baby talk and similar elements are common. I don’t mind that, but I’m a bit confused about the long-term mechanics. I’ve only read the first arc, and I initially assumed the MC would live their entire life, meaning they would grow into an adult. But that doesn’t make sense if the next arc will follow a similar story. So, I’m going to ignore that big plot hole and assume this kid’s soul died at three and can no longer age mentally or physically. It’s easier that way.

In my opinion, this is a pretty good novel. It’s light and fluffy, with a dash of heavier themes sprinkled throughout. As someone else mentioned, the author doesn’t explicitly explain how or why the main character (MC) is chosen by the system, or why a 3-year-old child refers to the man as her father, or "Daddy." However, these details are subtly woven into the story, though they become clearer after Chapter 20.

For me, the MC is both happy and pitiful at the same time. Spoilers ahead, so be warned.

The MC, a 3-year-old girl, is chosen at random by the system. Or, as the author describes it, a government or entity on the side of order decides to implement their system in the world. What makes the MC pitiful is that she is forcibly chosen and given the system, then thrust into a battle against the source of chaos in the world.

In her original world, the MC was a poor child who endured abuse from her mother. One day, when she was on the brink of death from starvation, the Villain saved her, nursed her back to health, and then disappeared.

After gaining the system, she is transported to a parallel universe to prevent chaos from overtaking that world. The source of chaos is the same man who saved her before, who treated her like his own daughter, but in this world, he doesn’t know her. This is why she calls him her father and fears that he has forgotten her.

The MC keeps being thrown into different parallel worlds after the chaos in her current world is either eliminated or suppressed. This happens because the system finds her useful in stopping chaos, or at least the person causing it. However, each time she is sent to a new world, that world’s villain doesn’t recognize her. This leads her to repeatedly gain the recognition of that world’s villain, or her father, confirming that she is his daughter. It’s a mix of cute, light, and fluffy moments, with a dash of bitter black chocolate.

So, I suggest reading further in, or at least finishing the first arc, before fully criticizing this novel.
