Matter of fact this cant even be called a fanfic after that point. This fanfic turned into a Cultivation novel.
Everyone in the entire story acts like those people from Xianxia and Xianxua novels
The excerpt provided, from Chapter 15, serves as a fair representation of the writing. Descriptions were concise, like "I changed into familiar clothes and went out to the training ground," and backgrounds were inadequately conveyed, such as "a field of sand." Human interactions felt stilted, with jokes followed by "Laughter erupted" – as if it were a sitcom.
Reading this felt more like parsing a draft or storyboard than an immersive novel. The lack of dialogue tags and repetitive character speech further hindered understanding, forcing me to re-read passages to piece together meaning. Moreover, the story itself was bland. Romance novels centered on relationships should focus on character connections, but this one dragged on with the protagonist's escort knight journey, which resembled a clichéd reincarnation tale executed poorly.
Half the translated chapters revolved around the protagonist's development, which contributed to the generic nature of the plot. It could work, but in this case, it failed to engage. The addition of unnecessary elements detracted from the core theme, especially when there was no originality to be found. It simply made the story tedious.
Characters were underdeveloped, making it difficult to form any emotional connection or animosity towards them. Their predictability and lack of believable interactions added to the narrative flaws. The constant "Laughter erupted" grated on my nerves.
Despite my interest in the female lead's calculating and cold demeanor, which hinted at potential yandere development, the rest of the novel fell flat. If you're desperate for villainous yandere content, this might be tolerable, but otherwise, it's a collection of bewildering creative choices that don't resonate with me. It's not a worthwhile read for me.
