It's your typical transmigration novel where the overpowered main character (MC) dies due to betrayal or an accident and ends up in a cultivation world. I was actually looking forward to seeing how she would start her new life. The story mentions that she was a gold medal assassin in her past life, which naturally drew me in and made me want to keep reading. However, as I continued, I found myself increasingly disappointed. The plot is filled with clichés and is very predictable, just as other reviews mentioned. The male lead (ML) is a big no for me. While I understand that forceful male leads are common in Chinese novels, this one was particularly overbearing and childish. He constantly forces her into embraces and kisses, pressures her with his powerful aura, and is possessive, even though the MC initially resists for a few seconds before giving in. The female lead (FL) also became annoying; despite being called a genius, she can be quite dim-witted at times. There's a lot of drama, and there was even a misunderstanding between the ML and FL that could have been easily resolved if they had just communicated properly. Instead, it took several chapters of back-and-forth, with the ML being overbearing and the FL acting like a tsundere before they finally talked things out. , it just became too frustrating for me. I'm out.

I cannot finish this book because the male lead (ML) is a reprehensible and abusive character. Our female lead (FL) is a strong-willed and exceptional assassin from the 21st century, known for her strength, power, intelligence, and quick wit. However, every time she encounters the ML, she regresses into a meek and slow woman. Having already been betrayed by her previous partner, she has vowed to stay away from men, yet she finds herself inexplicably drawn to this despicable male character. He forces himself on her, nearly rapes her, and engages in all sorts of abhorrent behavior to keep her under his control. He treats her like an object, disregarding her opinions and feelings. He constantly manipulates her both emotionally and physically, often behaving like a spoiled three-year-old. It's truly revolting.

I have just read up to chapter 28, and I am both disgusted by the male lead (ML) and the female lead (FL). The ML is literally a scumbag to me, and the FL is an idiot. After reading the comments section, I felt like I should stop reading this novel because it makes me so angry; I'm a feminist, and this just doesn't sit well with me.

And I have a question for Chinese authors: What are you trying to prove with these abusive novels? In 99% of Chinese novels, the males are abusive. If a male is the main character (MC), he will have at least 5 to 6 wives; and if a female is the MC, she will usually have only one husband, who will be very overbearing, force her to have sex, and not allow other men to even look at "his woman." And after all that, the female MC is supposed to be grateful that the ML only has her as a wife. It feels like Chinese authors only enjoy their "dog blood" stories and think they are still in ancient China, where men could have multiple wives and concubines. 😂😂😂

There's also something about the titles of these novels. For every Chinese novel with a male MC, the titles are often grandiose, like "The Great Alchemist," "The King of Hell," "King of the World," etc. But if it's a female MC, the titles are more along the lines of "Overload Love Me Tender," "King of Hell's Genius Pampered Wife," "Evil Wang Pampers His Ghost Doctor Fei," etc. It feels like, according to Chinese authors, women are incomplete without a husband and children, and sometimes it seems like a female MC has no more identity than just being a wife and a mother. I am deeply disappointed in Chinese authors. 😔😔😔

Among the Chinese novels I've read, I only really liked "Poison Doctor's Cute Baby." This novel is really good, and it feels like there is at least one normal Chinese author out there.

I've read countless novels eerily similar to this one already. It brings nothing new and exciting to the table. It’s a standard "face slapping" novel with a female main character (MC) who is praised to the heavens at every opportunity. She’s supposed to be fair and strong-minded, but ends up being far too long-winded and weak in most respects. Any supposedly respectable woman who can’t even stand her ground due to the presence of a beautiful man is pathetic. She’s not a cold and intelligent woman; she’s more like a 12-year-old girl who just met Justin Bieber.

Despite what others may say, the female MC is not overpowered (OP) at all. She has great talent and progresses quickly, but the way the story is written, she will never be OP. Her antagonists are always much stronger, and only the servants of these antagonists might be at her level. This leaves the male lead (ML) as the one who is actually OP, having to save the day at the most crucial moments.

In any case, these are just my personal issues with such stories, which I always hope will finally bring a strong female MC with mature thinking, but they always fall far too short. The author’s issues aren’t anything new either. I bet I could pick a random neighbor who writes just as well. The whole story hinges on misunderstandings that wouldn’t exist in any other universe except in the author’s (and many others like it) novel. Tens of chapters of arguing like little children, one short sentence at a time. A good chapter is one where there are more than four lines of dialogue. Instead, we get a couple of lines of talking and 20 lines describing a new beautiful guy or the ML. The little dialogue we do get is abysmal, considering that these "conversations" spanning tens of chapters ultimately leave the characters misunderstanding each other, despite the situation being so easy to interpret that no one needed to spend those tens of chapters discussing it in the first place. These supposedly super strong, super intelligent people can turn a discussion about apples into an entire arc dealing with yet another idiot who wants to kill the MC over nothing, or the MC or ML starting wars due to jealousy for no reason and refusing to act like adults.

In the end, it’s a terrible novel. If you like novels that hype up the female MC, only for her to fall short in every way, and introduce hot men who interact with this failure of a woman for some reason, and a gaggle of women who love these men so much that anyone (always the MC) who gains their interest is put on the top of their list of people to kill TONIGHT! And if you enjoy a plot that, due to the author’s ineptitude, doesn’t evolve to become more interesting but instead becomes more and more complicated in idiotic turns of events that make no sense...

Then go ahead and read it. You’ll never finish it, though—only a select few people are capable of that kind of seizure-inducing task. Go read the spoilers on the forum when you get tired and end it.

I'm really frustrated at this point with the relationship between the main character (MC) and the male lead (ML). The ML is incredibly overbearing, forcing the MC to love him and only him. His jealousy clouds his judgment, leading him to nearly kill the MC a few times in fits of rage. Yet, this stupid MC keeps taking him back, time after time. The ML doesn’t even consider her feelings; he’s solely obsessed with possessing her. This is an extremely unhealthy relationship. It’s like he’s almost as bad as the guy who killed the MC because he couldn’t have her.

It’s a shame that the novel is no longer being translated. Despite the ML’s overbearing nature, I still enjoyed the novel and would have continued reading it to the end.

The story follows a familiar "transmigration" theme, but I truly enjoy it because it has its own unique elements that make it engaging and not at all boring to read. I’m always eager to see more chapters translated.

So far, this novel has been incredibly engaging, keeping me hooked from one chapter to the next. I can’t wait for the next chapter to be released. Normally, I don’t read much; I prefer watching Chinese dramas and movies. However, I decided to give this novel a try, and I was completely blown away and addicted to reading it until the end. I don’t understand why some people dislike this novel. It’s really not bad at all. If a producer ever decides to adapt this novel into a drama or movie, I’d definitely watch it. The story is well-written with compelling plots.

So far, I’ve read the raw version of this novel, and it’s getting more intense with each chapter. There are plenty of villains, lots of action, and numerous twists and turns that slowly reveal the truths, secrets, and hidden plots. The emotional connections between the characters, especially the main character (MC) and the love interest (ML), are deeply moving. I’ve found myself reaching for tissues more than once due to certain parts of the chapters.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and I feel sorry for those who rated this novel poorly and left negative comments after only reading a few hundred chapters. To truly appreciate this novel, you need to read it all the way through to the end. This novel is amazing and deserves a 5-star rating. Just a tip: keep a box of tissues nearby...

I am currently reading the raw material of this novel and I absolutely love it! All the comments below seem to be based on insufficient information. You've only read up to chapter 400, but the book has over 3000 chapters, and I'm currently at chapter 1800. I’m using Google Translate, which can be a bit confusing, but it’s understandable enough (I’m so impatient that I decided to read it anyway, XD). Please read it first before making such incorrect statements. It’s amusing to read your comments, especially since we, the readers who have reached chapter 1800, know better.
