In a world where dungeons and monstrous threats dictate survival, Hyun Joon, a humble potter, meets a grim end in a failed dungeon raid. But death is not the end. Instead, he awakens ten years in the past, reliving his life as an eighteen-year-old before dungeons began to dominate humanity\'s fate.

Determined to rewrite his tragic destiny, Hyun Joon attends the Awakening Ceremony, where young adults discover their potential as hunters. While he was a lowly E-rank in his previous life, this time, fate grants him an S-rank awakening and a legendary skill: Absolute—a power that allows him to copy any skill and accelerate his growth far beyond others.

With this newfound power, Hyun Joon resolves to rise above the challenges, protect those he once lost, and uncover the mysteries of his second chance. Armed with his cunning and his legendary skill, he sets out to conquer dungeons, topple adversaries, and reshape a future where he controls his destiny.

For a taste of the Beats, Jack Kerouac's 1966 Satori in Paris (19,980) is a possibility. Satori is clearly labeled a novel by its publisher, Grove Press, but nearly 20,000 words may be a bit generous on my part; it was difficult to calculate because of all the white space. There are several one- and two-paragraph chapters. Satori was published not long before Kerouac died in 1969, but it definitely has the flavor of the author's 1957 classic On the Road. Like the classic, Satoriis glaringly autobiographical. The main character, Jean-Louis Lebris de Kerouac (no less), travels to France to track down the origins of his family name. Also like Kerouac's classic, Satori in Paris is at times a bit risque; therefore, not all teachers would be comfortable using it in class.
