Darcy Raven, a name that sent shivers through the underworld's spine. Her notoriety was so pervasive that even the lowliest thug to the mightiest mafia leaders had either crossed paths with her or trembled at the mere mention of her name. While Darcy's primary claim to fame was her ruthless demeanor towards her adversaries, her secondary reputation thrived on her boy toys. Each passing day brought forth a new face that exited her private lounge. But what shall happen with an unexpected turn when this invincible mafia queen finds herself entrapped by an unanticipated emotion – love? The object of her affection? The docile-looking owner of a trendy café conveniently situated just beyond her base. Initially anticipating a fleeting encounter akin to countless others, Darcy soon discovers herself wrapped around by the café owner's fingers, surprising not only her expectations but those around her as well. "Do you wanna eat something?" "Yes, you."

Well, let me start by saying I really loved this manga, and everything about it was incredibly sexy. But, I'm not sure how to categorize this? Is it Ecchi, Mature, or Adult?? The storyline could have been longer and maybe had a clearer purpose. That said, I should acknowledge that this manga did have a point—it was very sexual, and the art was great. So, if you're looking for something sexual and quick to read, give this a try... And no, it's not Hentai. =P

Alright, let me start this review by saying that I'm usually not a big fan of shoujo. There are very few shoujo manga that I actually enjoy. Initially, Love Strip seemed like your typical cliché shoujo: a guy who is twice the size of the heroine, a childhood friend romance (sort of), and a heroine whose brain seems to be filled with nothing but "He is so cute," "Oh my, he loves me," and "Kyaaaa."

The story can be summed up in one word: sex. Literally, there are at least two sex scenes in every chapter. It starts off with the heroine being a "nerd who isn't really intelligent and needs help from a perverted bishounen." Let me add, he hardly even helps her. He focuses more on her breasts than her actual grades. Somehow, he always finds a way to either grope or rape her.

You want me to tutor you? - Time for sex.
You got a question right? - Time for sex.
You got a question wrong? - Time for sex.
You miraculously got into the school? - Time for congratulations sex.
You're going to die soon? - Time for sex.
The world is ending? - Well, time for some goodbye sex.

Think I'm overreacting? When you read the manga, you'll see why. Honestly, I cannot see how this is "cute." If anything, it's disgusting and revolting. To the point where I was actually laughing at just how idiotic it was. The bishounen, whose name I can't even remember, says he "loves her," but really, it's merely sexual attraction. Throughout the entire manga, did they ever have a NORMAL conversation? Or even a conversation that wasn't about sex or him teasing her? Did he ever say anything about her personality that he liked?

At one point, she grows a backbone and tells him that he's not teaching her (which she was right about, for once) and that he's only using her for sex. What does he do when she says she won't be his sex toy? He throws a tantrum and says he won't teach her anymore. I honestly cannot comprehend how anyone could call that love. Love (to me at least) is being happy just talking to each other; you don't need physical contact to feel excited. What was happening in this manga was not love.

On another note, the art was a bit strange but decent. It wasn't really unique, but it wasn't bad either.

I did not enjoy this manga, and if you're looking for a good shoujo, I recommend something like *Torikagoshou no Kyou mo Nemutai Juunintachi* instead of this.

I enjoyed this story even though it's only one volume. I really wanted to see what happened next, but yeah... The story revolves around a childhood love, and it's a sweet one at that. It's amusing how she's not very bright, yet he likes her a lot, even though she appears to be a bookworm type. There is smut content, but it's still a good read due to the nice story development of how she needs to get into his high school. There's a lot of affection in this manga as well. It's also funny how much control he has over her and the love they share for each other.

I really enjoyed this short manga; I found it incredibly cute and romantic. Unlike many similar mangas, this one genuinely portrayed real romance and love, which I think is amazing. The storyline was decent for such a brief manga, and they managed to include a lot of detail and information in just 3 chapters. The art was good, with well-drawn bodies. The characters were adorable and developed throughout the manga, especially the girl more than the boy. I highly appreciated this series and would recommend it to almost anyone. Thanks, and I hope you enjoy Doting Love Strip!!!!!!

I really enjoyed this short-volume manga. It was entertaining, adorable, and an overall heartwarming tale.

To summarize, the plot revolves around a boy and a girl who are best friends in elementary school and are transitioning to junior high or high school together. Despite the girl appearing nerdy, she is far from being intellectually inclined. In other words, she's not particularly bright. On the other hand, the boy is a rebel and troublemaker who only applied to the prestigious school because he liked the girl. He got accepted and is considered a genius, making him the epitome of a hot and intelligent guy. Three years later, the girl gets another chance to apply to the same elite school that the boy attended, which she initially failed to get into. He wants her to join him there and offers to tutor her—not just academically, but in various aspects of life.

While the story isn't groundbreaking—it fits squarely into the typical teen romantic comedy genre—the characters are well-developed and engaging, giving it an original feel. The narrative will make you chuckle at times. It does contain a high level of smut, so be warned. Nevertheless, the characters are incredibly enjoyable, and I can't stress that enough.

Regarding the characters, the female lead may not be academically gifted, but she sports the stereotypical nerdy appearance. She's sweet and somewhat naive, yet what sets this story apart from some of Shinjo Mayu's other works is that the girl has prior relationship experience. This adds an entertaining layer as the male lead grapples with feelings of anxiety and insecurity about her past. The male lead, while not domineering, is undeniably driven by his desires and occasionally uses emotional persuasion to get what he wants. However, the female lead is equally willing to enjoy their interactions. The entire story feels authentic and makes for a delightful read.

Personally, I have a soft spot for stories featuring nerdy girls and handsome guys, so this one was a treat. The artwork is consistently excellent, making it a must-read. For reference, this story shares some similarities with "Itazura na Kiss," but if you're American or unfamiliar with that series, think of the movie "She's All That." If you've seen "She's All That," you'll notice parallels: the outwardly nerdy girl who isn't actually nerdy and the ultra-hot, intelligent guy (though in the manga, he's running for president, unlike the film). There are clear similarities between the two, though the manga isn't as complex. It's still a fantastic read.

Oh, and if you haven't seen "She's All That," I highly recommend it—even as a film snob, I loved it. Get your hands on it!

Same. I stopped reading in the mid 400’s when the writing style changed. Does anyone know if it goes back to normal?
