Not only can you read as much chapters as here for free using fast passes, you can read further ahead using privileged chapters! Not to mention that the Second VOLUME is now finally OVER in these privileged chapters on webnovel, so if you don't mind paying you can read directly up to this volume's end!
Finally, I'm happy to see that some of you here are enjoying this lacking novel of mine, but I don't endorse reading on this site, if you want to read more or interact directly with me, I will be waiting for you on webnovel!
To summarize, the plot revolves around a boy and a girl who are best friends in elementary school and are transitioning to junior high or high school together. Despite the girl appearing nerdy, she is far from being intellectually inclined. In other words, she's not particularly bright. On the other hand, the boy is a rebel and troublemaker who only applied to the prestigious school because he liked the girl. He got accepted and is considered a genius, making him the epitome of a hot and intelligent guy. Three years later, the girl gets another chance to apply to the same elite school that the boy attended, which she initially failed to get into. He wants her to join him there and offers to tutor her—not just academically, but in various aspects of life.
While the story isn't groundbreaking—it fits squarely into the typical teen romantic comedy genre—the characters are well-developed and engaging, giving it an original feel. The narrative will make you chuckle at times. It does contain a high level of smut, so be warned. Nevertheless, the characters are incredibly enjoyable, and I can't stress that enough.
Regarding the characters, the female lead may not be academically gifted, but she sports the stereotypical nerdy appearance. She's sweet and somewhat naive, yet what sets this story apart from some of Shinjo Mayu's other works is that the girl has prior relationship experience. This adds an entertaining layer as the male lead grapples with feelings of anxiety and insecurity about her past. The male lead, while not domineering, is undeniably driven by his desires and occasionally uses emotional persuasion to get what he wants. However, the female lead is equally willing to enjoy their interactions. The entire story feels authentic and makes for a delightful read.
Personally, I have a soft spot for stories featuring nerdy girls and handsome guys, so this one was a treat. The artwork is consistently excellent, making it a must-read. For reference, this story shares some similarities with "Itazura na Kiss," but if you're American or unfamiliar with that series, think of the movie "She's All That." If you've seen "She's All That," you'll notice parallels: the outwardly nerdy girl who isn't actually nerdy and the ultra-hot, intelligent guy (though in the manga, he's running for president, unlike the film). There are clear similarities between the two, though the manga isn't as complex. It's still a fantastic read.
Oh, and if you haven't seen "She's All That," I highly recommend it—even as a film snob, I loved it. Get your hands on it!

The story can be summed up in one word: sex. Literally, there are at least two sex scenes in every chapter. It starts off with the heroine being a "nerd who isn't really intelligent and needs help from a perverted bishounen." Let me add, he hardly even helps her. He focuses more on her breasts than her actual grades. Somehow, he always finds a way to either grope or rape her.
You want me to tutor you? - Time for sex.
You got a question right? - Time for sex.
You got a question wrong? - Time for sex.
You miraculously got into the school? - Time for congratulations sex.
You're going to die soon? - Time for sex.
The world is ending? - Well, time for some goodbye sex.
Think I'm overreacting? When you read the manga, you'll see why. Honestly, I cannot see how this is "cute." If anything, it's disgusting and revolting. To the point where I was actually laughing at just how idiotic it was. The bishounen, whose name I can't even remember, says he "loves her," but really, it's merely sexual attraction. Throughout the entire manga, did they ever have a NORMAL conversation? Or even a conversation that wasn't about sex or him teasing her? Did he ever say anything about her personality that he liked?
At one point, she grows a backbone and tells him that he's not teaching her (which she was right about, for once) and that he's only using her for sex. What does he do when she says she won't be his sex toy? He throws a tantrum and says he won't teach her anymore. I honestly cannot comprehend how anyone could call that love. Love (to me at least) is being happy just talking to each other; you don't need physical contact to feel excited. What was happening in this manga was not love.
On another note, the art was a bit strange but decent. It wasn't really unique, but it wasn't bad either.
I did not enjoy this manga, and if you're looking for a good shoujo, I recommend something like *Torikagoshou no Kyou mo Nemutai Juunintachi* instead of this.
