Qian Hui was a little zombie.

He was an NPC zombie in the game “Plant Courtyard,” whose daily routine involved venturing out at fixed times to munch on sunflowers and nuts. When his health bar dipped critically low, he’d promptly collapse and play dead.

During his off-hours, Qian Hui was on friendly terms with the plants.

Peas would lay cabbage leaves for his bed, a little mushroom kept him company at night, a carrot drove away other zombies that tried to bully him, and a man-eating flower shared its captured prey with him.

Qian Hui spent each day happily, without a single worry.

The leader, Nan Tingjin, was the base’s highest authority—a decisive and cold-blooded SSS-class ability user known as the “Cruel Blade.” Sending him a love letter was akin to seeking death.

The letter was dismissed as a prank.

But the next day, a large pepper with a hooked tail snuck into the base and kidnapped the leader!
