!! WARNING MATURE CONTENT 19+ !! (Harap bijak dalam memilih bacaan) Kalian tahu apa itu 'Ge Sketchbook Company'? Sebuah perusahaan peneribit terbesar yang ada di tengah indahnya Kota Amsterdam, Belanda. And bingo! Namun, kisah ku! Kisah seorang gadis berusia hampir mirip dengan Amanda Hansen, namun aku sedikit tua tiga angka di atasnya. Usiaku 21 tahun. Menjelang 22 tahun jikalau tahun ini berakhir. Namaku adalah Luna. Luna Theresia Skye. Terlalu panjang jikalau kata teman-temanku menyebutnya. Jadi, mereka mempersingkat. Hanya Luna Skye. Gila bukan? Memang. Aku ini memang gila!

"Mediocre shoujo at its best, Ageha 100% gives us nothing innovative, nor is the plot or characters anything for you to scream in ecstasy over.

    Story
The manga has (from up to the beginning of volume two) followed the same format of Ageha basically helping other girls get what they so desire through the use of beauty and makeup. It emphasizes the importance of makeup in transforming any average-looking girl into a beauty. From what I've read so far, 'conflicts' arise mainly due to disbelievers in the "Legend of Ageha," and imitators of Ageha's work. While these conflicts serve to extend the storyline and perhaps teach a lesson between the leading characters after they conclude, there is not much else driving the plot, nothing to give the reader a reason to flip each page in excitement.

    Art
The art ranges from so-called 'good' to 'bad.' Standard shoujo elements appear in the artwork—big eyes, blushes, interesting hairstyles. There is quite a huge contrast between Rin and her 'secret' persona in terms of appearance. In the end, I could easily say that the art is not anything special, nor is it poorly done to detract from a reader's experience. As the manga emphasizes physical 'beauty,' the artist delivers a satisfactory performance in showing how makeup can 'transform' normal-looking girls into beautiful women.

    Character
One of Ageha's poorest elements arguably, the characters are rather flat and only serve to continue the initial role in the story they are given, so far not even appearing to deviate from their chosen path. As the only common returning characters are Rin and Riku, other appearing characters receive no development or interesting characterization. While Rin's objectives are explained, there is nothing else behind what she initially believes. Riku's decisions in assisting Rin are a muddle of confusion, although perhaps this may be explored in later chapters.

    Enjoyment
I picked Ageha 100% up out of boredom. There is nothing behind it that could ever put this title onto my favorites list, but it served to entertain me for the hour I spent reading this title. Any shoujo fan may like to pick this up for a short read, but don't expect any mind-blowing artwork or plotline.

    Overall

    Summarizing Ageha 100%'s strongest points:

A straightforward plotline that follows the story outline initially set and explained in the first chapter.
Artwork ranging from good to bad, but satisfactory in supporting this title.
There is not much else to say besides the fact that I would recommend shoujo fans to pick this up if they have nothing else to find. While I would not specifically recommend this to people looking for recommendations of shoujo manga, it is not per se the worst thing I've ever read."

Sorry, I just can't agree with the other review. It's true that "Ageha 100%" is a typical shoujo manga, but I really like the story.
It's a story about a girl who loves her work and puts all her effort into it. Her work isn't just about enhancing a girl's outer appearance, but also about transforming a girl's heart. This shoujo manga feels like real life because the girls in it are genuinely insecure and fragile, searching for something to boost their confidence, much like real-life girls do. They all find this confidence when they confront the changes in their outer selves and realize that they are all beautiful, both inside and out.

You might say that the story and even the main characters are mediocre, but we've read so many manga at that time... that I think we can't appreciate beauty even if it hits us on the head. I think this manga is beautiful. Yes, it's not in the "fresh news," but I still like it very much.

The story revolves around a girl named Fujiwara Rin who (for some reason) lives with her grandparents. They are very strict and dislike makeup, fashion, and girls who wear makeup. That's why Rin, who loves them dearly, can't tell them her secret. She can't reveal that she once hated her own face and personality until a fateful meeting (when she was in the 6th grade). That was when she met "The Legendary Ageha." Ageha tells her that "Makeup makes a girl" and shows her the beautiful self she hides within (using her makeup method, of course). So, Rin decides to take up the baton and transform herself into the second Ageha (because she likes making girls happy). But Ageha's identity must remain a secret. That's why when Rin wants to become Ageha, she removes her glasses, lets her hair down, and puts on contact lenses and makeup. With this transformation, no one can recognize her. The only person who knows about Rin's dual personality is the playboy Kisaragi, who accidentally saw her removing her makeup. He decides to keep it a secret but sometimes follows Ageha on her makeup adventures. Keeping such a big secret with strict grandparents and in a strict school might be very challenging, but for the sake of all the girls there and for the sake of "The Legendary Ageha," Rin will be able to do it. :)
