The Lonely Immortal

"I only want one thing: immortality. It's not just a desire—it's a dream, the singular purpose that drives me. I’ve heard the laughter of children, their joy so pure, and witnessed the sorrow etched in the tears of the old, heavy with a lifetime of regret. I’ve felt the biting chill of snow that stings the skin and the soothing warmth of fire that brings fleeting comfort.

Yet, deep down, I know—these sensations, these fleeting moments of life, are chained to a body destined to decay, to crumble into dust.

Every step forward is a step further from the world I once knew. The laughter fades, the tears are left behind, and all that remains is a vast, consuming loneliness. And yet, I walk. Because beyond that loneliness lies something greater: freedom.

A soul unshackled from the chains of mortality, unburdened by the weight of human sorrow. A spirit untethered, soaring above the heavens, able to glimpse the eternal truths hidden in the infinite expanse of the cosmos.

This is my Dao—not for power, not for fame, but for understanding. If pursuing it means becoming a madman, so be it. If the world deems me a heretic, I will bear that name. For what is sanity, what is acceptance, compared to the chance to touch eternity?"
