"I've reached Chapter 20 and I'm considering stopping. The story is confusing me. I'm reading this because it reminded me of 'Transmigrating into the Male Supporting Character's Ex-wife,' which I really enjoyed. Although Cheng Jun shares some similarities with Chen Shu, Cheng Jun seems to be a better character. I'll give it a little more time, but I must admit, I'm finding it boring. How did it receive such high ratings? The writing feels scattered, with scenes thrown in haphazardly. In my current chapter, I came across a moment where the ML says, 'Don't leave me.' I'm wondering, has there been some backstory I missed? You barely interact! It's like I'm being left out of the loop. 😅 Could you please provide a hint when and where this connection formed?"

I recently read an adaptation of this story on another platform, but the chapters lacked proper editing and translation, which made it difficult for me to comprehend certain idioms and phrases, almost like dealing with broken English at times. Despite that, I would rate this version 100 out of 5, as it shares similarities with the TV dramas "Goblin" and "My Love from Another Star" in terms of quality and depth. The protagonist, Ye Sui, finds herself in a novel universe where she is the antagonist, a celebrity who interferes with the love story between the main characters, Sheng Xui and Chang Ying.

Originally, Ye Sui's role was to act as a substitute for Chang Ying during their breakup, as she pretends to be innocent like the titular 'White Lotus.' However, her true intentions are malicious. The readers and characters in the novel know about her duplicity, giving her the nickname 'Little Chang Ying.' Eventually, Sheng Xui realizes his mistake and reconciles with Chang Ying, leaving Ye Sui in obscurity. Complicating matters further, Ye Sui is married to Sheng Shu, an unassuming uncle of Sheng Xui, who marries her for stability and to provoke jealousy – though the character in the novel is portrayed as a dull wastrel.

As Ye Sui comes from a life as a celebrity, she aims to continue her career after the story's main characters unite, hoping to avoid the novel's tragic fate. She skillfully navigates her role, even if she finds Sheng Xui arrogant and shallow due to his privileged background. Just when Ye Sui is about to finalize her plans and distance herself, her life takes an unexpected turn when she encounters Sheng Shu, a man brimming with yang energy, which awakens her ghost-sensing abilities, causing fear.

The writing is excellent, with a gradual, character-driven romance that unfolds beautifully. The female lead is endearing, much like the eccentric character from "My Love from Another Star." Despite being disliked by many online, she remains resilient. The male lead has a compelling backstory, and their love story is truly captivating. Although he's not pushover, he's not arrogant either; his understated nature creates a strong impact. The novel balances humor with depth, making it a highly recommended read. The female lead's comedic timing adds a delightful touch to the story.

Completed in a single day, and now I'm left with an emptiness. truth be told, this is my inaugural review, forgive me if my grammar isn't perfect. Initially, it seemed dull, but gradually, I became completely engrossed. I truly relished the gradual development of the main character (MC) and love interest's (ML) connection, as well as their engaging interactions. The angsty moments even brought me to tears. If you're in need of a captivating read during a lull, I highly recommend this.

It appears quite captivating. The description has piqued my interest, and the initial chapters are quite engaging. This reminds me of "Don't You Like Me," which I absolutely adore and find hilarious, and I wholeheartedly recommend it. Thanks to the translators for selecting this novel – I'm definitely looking forward to giving it a read.

I would rate this at a maximum of 3 stars. Initially, it started off decent enough, but as the story progressed, it lost its appeal. There were numerous plot inconsistencies, underdeveloped characters, and a mediocre storytelling skill. The narratives felt unfinished and冗长, with excessive repetition. It seems to cater to those with limited entertainment options and are willing to kill time. Whether it's the translation or the original writing, there's a significant room for improvement. Frankly, it was a disappointing read.

The FL was endearing with her numerous attempts to justify her actions, which were hard to believe given the situation. On the other hand, ML exemplified the common stereotype of someone with an IQ of 100 and EQ of 0, lacking understanding in romantic relationships. Despite their lack of emotional connection, he remained a decent individual who respected his wife. His behavior might appear unfeeling and distant, but he proved to be a kind and patient husband at heart. I truly hope the story continues, as I greatly appreciate the characters. Keep up the fantastic work, author and translator Samas!

A typical novel without any unnecessary plot elements or profound tragedies. The storyline unfolds predictably, but it occasionally grates with the commentary from Weibo users. I've never ventured into these topics before, but do fans really lack depth and nuance in their thinking? I'd give this book a 4.1 - an effortless read, unremarkable but occasionally marred by illogical or foolish moments from the author.

The story had a pleasant narrative, but I believe it could have tapped into more depth. The concept of transmigration felt superfluous; it was mainly used to justify the protagonist's ghost-sight abilities and性格 shift, which could have been handled differently without resorting to such an explanation. The transmigration plot felt forced, as there was no clear reason for her past life or the sudden reincarnation.

The ghost aspect held some intrigue, but I felt it could have been delved into further. As a professional actress, the character's career in acting and the entertainment industry could have been expanded. Despite being a star in a relatively short period, it didn't seem realistic, considering the fast-paced nature of the industry. The book barely scratched the surface of her filmography and public image, which could have been a more significant focus.

While there were hints of new talent, the book only mentioned a handful of actors and actresses. The supporting characters were underdeveloped, with the main characters lacking meaningful friendships. The male lead's doctor friend was present solely for medical emergencies, without any proper introduction or social interaction.

Overall, the story was satisfactory with a happy ending, but it had numerous loose ends and missed opportunities for growth. It left me feeling that the potential was wasted.
