Ye Sui has been transmigrated into a book and became the venomous villain. And because she looked a little similar to the white lotus female protagonist, she was regarded as a replacement by the male protagonist. Ye Sui was also married to the main character’s third Uncle, Chen Shu, who was jinxed to ruin the life of whoever marries him.
Immediately after she got transmigrated, she became the malicious and conceited villainess with a husband named Chen Shu, who was about to divorce her. Ye Sui could see ghosts, however, as soon as she touched Chen Shu, the ghosts would disappear.
Chen Shu, who was preparing for divorce, was shocked upon his return to his home. As his wife suddenly hugged his thigh and begged, “No divorce, even if you beat me to death I will not sign the divorce paper.”
Chen Shu: “…”

MC is an upbeat and intelligent individual, her primary goal being to accumulate wealth to support herself and ML, unaware that he is a wealthy CEO. Despite facing online slander, she maintains a positive attitude and focuses on her financial goals, prioritizing staying close to ML and avoiding ghost encounters.
ML, on the other hand, stands out as a genuinely kind-hearted character. Initially appearing distant, he exhibits great gentleness and patience with MC. His affection for her develops gradually, causing him to become shy and introspective. What sets ML apart from typical ML characters in web novels is his depth and emotional complexity. He breaks away from the stereotype of a cold, possessive CEO by displaying a range of emotions, including laughter, embarrassment, and anger. His rationality and maturity make him a compelling protagonist, justifying my 5-star rating.
However, one minor issue I have with the novel lies outside its content: the translation quality could be improved. While it's comprehensible and enjoyable, there are occasional instances where the translations lose clarity or have grammatical inconsistencies that momentarily detract from the reading experience. Nevertheless, this does not significantly impact my overall rating.
Originally, Ye Sui's role was to act as a substitute for Chang Ying during their breakup, as she pretends to be innocent like the titular 'White Lotus.' However, her true intentions are malicious. The readers and characters in the novel know about her duplicity, giving her the nickname 'Little Chang Ying.' Eventually, Sheng Xui realizes his mistake and reconciles with Chang Ying, leaving Ye Sui in obscurity. Complicating matters further, Ye Sui is married to Sheng Shu, an unassuming uncle of Sheng Xui, who marries her for stability and to provoke jealousy – though the character in the novel is portrayed as a dull wastrel.
As Ye Sui comes from a life as a celebrity, she aims to continue her career after the story's main characters unite, hoping to avoid the novel's tragic fate. She skillfully navigates her role, even if she finds Sheng Xui arrogant and shallow due to his privileged background. Just when Ye Sui is about to finalize her plans and distance herself, her life takes an unexpected turn when she encounters Sheng Shu, a man brimming with yang energy, which awakens her ghost-sensing abilities, causing fear.
The writing is excellent, with a gradual, character-driven romance that unfolds beautifully. The female lead is endearing, much like the eccentric character from "My Love from Another Star." Despite being disliked by many online, she remains resilient. The male lead has a compelling backstory, and their love story is truly captivating. Although he's not pushover, he's not arrogant either; his understated nature creates a strong impact. The novel balances humor with depth, making it a highly recommended read. The female lead's comedic timing adds a delightful touch to the story.
