The Dream Tree

A seed falls onto a forbidden land where no life can survive. However, as if by destiny, an anomaly enters this lifeless place at the same time. The anomaly desperately seeks to escape but is shattered by the land’s overwhelming power. Before it is completely destroyed, the anomaly creates a portal—one from which a wandering soul emerges.

Merin finds himself struck by lightning, his life ending in an instant. But fate intervenes. Instead of passing on, he reincarnates—as a young tree.

At first, Merin fears the dangers that come with being a tree: being eaten by beasts, cut down for firewood, or falling prey to insects. However, he soon realizes that none of these threats exist. He is the only living thing in this barren, forbidden land.
